If you come to NJA with glass cockpit experience (flying the erj), do they take that into account when they make you an offer? Or, is it whatever is available at the time? Thanks!

over 60? You go to the x

:)

My current a/c is the CR7 and I was awarded Indoc July 9 for a Aug Hawker 800XPc class. I do not know that I was awared this because of my previous experience but.... I'm not complaining! Common July....

Who needs position reports when you have a sat phone.

The thing never works at 3am anyways.

Ummm...I don't know...but don't ALL the aircraft on property have glass cockpits? Unless there's some old Falcon 20 they'd put me in :erm:

Everything has glass. They normally put guys with no or limited jet experience into the Ultra or 400. Those with more experience get the more advanced a/c. There's no real set reasoning... normally just what they need to fill. Good luck.

Luckily I've got a little over 800 hours in 400/Diamondjets...I'm really not looking to add to it 'cuz my long legs hate that the seats don't slide back enough. But then again, if it gets me on property.......

The Falcon 20 has a pretty nice cockpit where you can at least stretch your legs out when pushing the 4.5 hour runs. Only thing she doesn't have is glass. Or any other kind of modern convenience except the TCAS...which will help today flying into TEB since the weather is nice and plenty of small planes to the west. I'll be waiting for my turn to WANES.

I had over 5000 hrs of glass in three different types. I was offered three different airplanes and two bases. I think it is whatever they need at the time. There is a good chance you will get the excel because we are still getting deliveries but anything is a possibility.

The X is cool but goes constantly on 5 and 6 hour legs. If you are 6 foot plus and over 240lbs the x is not very comfortable. Dual fms boxes make for a tight fit.

On another note...I just got my email stating my application meets requirements for acceptance. Now, its just the "long" wait for them to contact me for an interview. Time for an off duty beverage at IAD Marriott!

Congrats Pat!

Hopefully the wait won't be long.

Awesome RP...fingers crossed, baby!

Dudemize...thanks, man. Yeah, I'm hoping the wait isn't too long for a TEB interview.

I got my app accepted email on the 26th, so I'm waiting to hear as well. Like you Pat, I'm hoping TEB isnt a long wait!

Best of luck bosdrx! Hopefully, we'll see each other in CMH in the near future.

I've got CMH and PBI as my preferences. We'll see how long that takes. I'll keep you guys posted.
