I submitted my application online on January 30th and got an email to setup my interview on February 8th. I know a couple of guys that work for SW, but at that point I hadn’t mentioned to any of them that I had submitted my application. I hope to start class sometime in September.

As a military guy I don't see a problem with it, but realistically why would someone give up a job in the military making 85-90K a year to go work for a regional carrier?

We leave because the grass is always greener on the other side of the airport. I left because I was afraid to fly old airplanes, that were in the 5th/6th decade. Ever see a congressman in a 50 yr old limo? They would die if they had to ride in a car that old but they have no problem sending their young men and women off in jets that old.
