Now if we could just stop takin it in the AZZ at the regionals. All you guys at the majors need to lend a hand while you're takin it back and help us hold up the bottom.

Mesa, Republic, Pinnacle, ASA are or will be in contract negotiations this year, along with AWAC recently winning a grievance that may lead to getting the 2001 contract back.

Mesaba and Comair have gotten whipped recently but there is work going on to return pattern bargaining to the "small jet" carriers...hopefully 2007 will be a good year for air line pilots.

The only thing we can do is hold strong on Scope.

Everything else is up to you...

Good luck to all of us!

Yeah, I was thinking about that the other day...

Their proposed pay rates aren't exactly "stellar" either, and that's what the union is asking for so they will, in all actuality, be even LESS than the proposed rate table.

BRILLIANT! A+, guys. Isn't there something in the bylaws about recalls? Just a thought.

We need to march on D.C.--pilots, FA's, mechs, rampers, agents--anyone who has gotten screwed by management. And we need to start the march on K Street where all the lobbying firms are located to point out that Congress is owned by the lobbyists.

The only way to get Congress to put pressure on CEO's is by paying them or embarrassing them. We don't have enough money to outspend the CEO's and buy a Congressman so we've got to make our case public. TC

Pilot union wants to reopen airline contracts

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The nation's largest pilot union said on Thursday it would seek to reopen contracts to roll back bankruptcy concessions at UAL Corp.'s (UAUA.O) United Airlines and other U.S. carriers.

As a practical matter, why would management agree to reopen these contracts? What do these pilot groups have to sell? Scope restrictions?

Are we using scope restrictions for bargaining capital?

Yeah right! It would be nice but we all know pilots eat their young.

Arpey's still kicking himself in the nuts because they didn't go Ch.11 and cram a UAL +1% up APA's a$$! :D

Where are you Boiler? We get around a little bit. I'll buy the first round! TC
