When will this happen? This makes so much sense, why hasn't it yet? Neither company is big enough to avoid getting swallowed up, but together they are much more formidable. B6 gets the mid-continent hub it desperately needs, and F9 gets folded into a company with practically identical equipment and a similar culture. Why not?

10,000? I guess it is not as bad as U.S. Air stranding more than 100,000 people during the last storm that hit them in the northeast!

I don't think it will happen. Jet blue will avoid a union carrier such as Frontier like the plague, plus they wouldn't be excited about paying the higher pilot costs. Other than that it would probably be a good merger on several other fronts.

Comparing Airbus rates I wouldn't say JetBlue is much different. I'm not sure what the average F9 pilot flies per month. At the 5 year point it seems to be a wash. Where the higher costs occur is with the longevity of the F9 pilots. At the top of the scale F9 pilots come out ahead by $624 for an 82 hour line.

That won't happen. Bill Nelson said SWA is buying Fontier in a couple of weeks. Then SWA will swap out the A-320's with with Aero Mexico's B-737's. Of course this is Flight Info, so all that is subject to change.

nah....RAH is buying frontier.....watch. then when compass is up and running bedford will buy them to keep the emb170 a monopoly

didn't you all hear that B6 is the "covert" Virgin America? and has everyone fooled!

I'm sorry, were you guys saying something?

ATR42 put his Avatar up and I can't think of anything else right now...

You know, a lot of guys have hot chicks up as their avatar - ATR's is hands-down the winner. Something a bout a hot, skinny 18 year old dressed to play. :D

Yeah, the only thing better than that is a hot, skinny 17 year old dressed to play.

Of course, you could always trump that with a hot, skinny 1..............

Nah, I wouldn't go there!

That is one smoking hot chick though.

Well done!

Wow, a Jetblue/Frontier merger.... history repeating itself! It would be more than a little ironic: in the mid 80s, an airline very similar to Jetblue based in EWR bought out an airline named Frontier, also out of Denver.

Or my favorite,

Frontier/JetBlue then, shortly thereafter, both are bought by USAir.

Lear, now now...We have to have a respect for her feelings and the way she feels about life. We want to be very dfelicate in the way we make comments about her here as to not upset anyone and put someone in a uncomfortable situation....

Ahhh heck, who the hell am I kidding.
