Sorry Sam, but I gotta bust your Ba!!s. I did HI four times over there, twice it was a turn....now those trips were killers. Hope you're enjoying your new gig. Lets talk about the middle east issue, thats a fun topic...LOL!

I just was going by what Rick used to say when I asked why we never did Hi.. he said it wasn't a good trip for the X, and that the winds and WX were always the major impediment.

Anyway, I agree.. start a thread and let me know where the link is!

Does the 50 have wet footprint on this trip? If so why do the trip without going to HNL 1st? ....???

Yes, even a Falcon 50EX would have a wet footprint on this leg, unless one had very strong tail winds. As far as I know the only alternate on this leg would be Hawaii, the big island, and that is way north of the route.

Not in a 50 or same range aircraft. Of course in a 900EX it should be no problem under normal conditions, same with a G-IVSP or later version.
