Love the scope Bill, clowns losing money hiring more clowns. Funny how they make fun of F9 and B6 190 rates, you guys will farm it all out.

If you guys lower your rates (you will have to eventually), then you too will get new planes. This is how it will work from now on. Too bad.

nope, the MD-80/88 is next

Scope is dead at Delta, they took Comair's jobs and now they will get Delta's jobs. MD-80/88 is next the CRJ-900 and 190 will be flown by regionals. Delta top dogs will sell out again.

No way. There are provisions in place not to allow that in their contract. That will not be given up, and the CR9 at Delta can only have 76 seats.(sounds like scope to me) There are also limits on the number of 76 seaters. The MD88s just got new lease rates at $200,000 less per month than before BK, so they will probably stay around awhile. Sounds like you don´t have any of the facts. Guessing must be fun for you.

Stick to serving coffee snot nose! You have all the answers! The 88's are here through 2012, einstein. IF, the 190's come, they will be flown by mainline, much to your dissapointment!

Oh look, ahole is back. Another DL thread, another brainless post. What's the matter, trailer in the shop again? Shouldn't you be trolling the elementary schools!

737 Pylut--Why are you defending Delta management? Farming ANY flying out to the lowest bidder (we ALL know what Mesa is) doesn't help the profession.

I wonder if these are additional aircraft for Mesa, or are the 900's flown at US Airways gonna be shifted to Delta!!

I think Delta placed an order for 30-something 900s, so there are still about 16 that have nobody flying them yet, maybe SkyWest?

Pylt! Come on man, the CRJ 900 is basically a MD-88 with Winglets!! But the ones at Mesa have a FO in the right seat making about 19k a year!

just put your head back in the sand

Still ya gotta see management continues to put pressure on your scope. You know that your next pay raise/contract will be contingent on some scope relief. First it was a few 70 seaters now its "a few" 76 seaters. The entire northest is filled with regional aircraft replacing 737 and MD-80s aircraft. Its amazing that some many have there head in the sand on this one.

Cannot agree more. Scope is the main reason I have voted no on all our TAs. Unfortunately, I am in the minority.

Guarnteed that you greedy A$$ Delta boys will sell 90 seats for more money when the time comes. Oh you will justify it by saying that, hey we no longer have a pension so we need all the money we can get now. Everyone else in the industry knows that it is only a matter of time untill you sell out, after all you have led the sell out parade so far!

I'm with you 100%. Scope was, is, and always will be a huge issue for us. I'm pissed that my company is entering into any agreement with these clowns. Although Freedom are the same clowns by a different name. We need to work to get as much flying back on our property as possible where we control the quality of individuals flying and the experience our customers receive. We've already let far too much get away.

Nothing has changed from your last agreement. Delta and ALPA agreed about a certain number of 76 seaters, and they are following through with that. They are bigger planes than the 70 seaters, but they have one thing that the others do not, and that is premium seats for premium customers. Yes, it does suk that Delta has farmed out a lot of the flying to DCI, and that will not change until you guys get planes that can make money on those specific routes. IF you can´t make money with an MD88, your current smallest aircraft, on a route, then an RJ will have to do until you guys get something smaller, like a 737-700 or even an E190. If the route has to have an RJ, why not have one with First Class? Delta needs premium passengers that want bigger seats etc, and some cities cannot support an MD88 but still have plenty of passengers who don´t care about price but want bigger seats and more room. Until you guys can negotiate for smaller planes, this is the way it will have to be to some of the smaller cities you serve. And I do not buy the fact that your senior pilots will vote away 90 or 100 seat planes. Most of those guys that would already left. Everyone that is left has been affected by scope in the past 10 years. Anyone who says otherwise is full of it.

Hey Jackhole,

When did "everyone else in the industry" elect you as their mouthpiece??

I think Delta placed an order for 30-something 900s, so there are still about 16 that have nobody flying them yet, maybe SkyWest?
Comair's new scope, endorsed by Delta Air Lines Inc., stipulates 60% of new DCI awards go to them. Unless this award falls ahead of the scope agreement, my guess is that Delta will operate the 16 at their Comair subsidiary.

Guys, I think that the DAL boys will not let up on the scope one more inch. They will fly them for less and let the bottom end of the seniority list fight over who will have to fly them. It keeps them on the property and adds one layer to all of us paying our dues. The rock is done letting blood.

ASAers this is one more example of how the bilge pump cannot keep up with the water that is getting in. Get out before you are taken down with the ship.

...I'm outta here...

I voted for him. Keep up the good work. (I didn't know his name was Jackhole, though...) TC

AA717driver,

Don't take this clown for anything more than the moron he is. If Delta made him fly an RJ for 60/hr he'd defend it, while he would also blast the regional guys for doing it. Total hypocrite beyond a doubt.

AA:
Who's defending DL management. This is all part of negotiations! They are allowed to fly the 90 seaters w/ 76 seats in them. I voted no, but then again, I voted no to every LOA, but I'm in the minority!

Let me guess. AHOLE is on here commenting about nothing he knows about. I bet things are kind of slow at the trailer park tonight. Cow tipping must have let out early. Hey AHOLE, your rock is calling you, troll!

ACL65PILOT, your bravado is inspiring. My advice would be to believe that the Delta Pilot Group can resist Mgt's scope grab when you actually see them land a punch. I don't think they've landed one in 5.5 years and even that punch relaxed scope.

In jest, consider this recent exchange between DALPA and Delta Management:

DALPA: None shall pass.DELTA MGT: What?DALPA: None shall pass.DELTA MGT: I have no quarrel with you, good Sir Pilot, but I must Have more RJs.DALPA: Then you shall die.DELTA MGT: I command you as CEO DALRQ.PK to stand aside!DALPA: I move for no CEO.DELTA MGT: So be it! [hah] [parry thrust] [DELTA MGT chops the DALPA's left arm off]DELTA MGT: Now stand aside, worthy adversary.DALPA: 'Tis but a scratch.DELTA MGT: A scratch? Your arm's off!DALPA: No, it isn't.DELTA MGT: Well, what's that then?DALPA: I've had worse.DELTA MGT: You liar!DALPA: Come on you pansy! [hah] [parry thrust] [DELTA MGT chops the DALPA's right arm off]DELTA MGT: Victory is mine! [kneeling] We thank thee Lord Leo, that in thy merc- [hah]DALPA: Come on then.DELTA MGT: What?DALPA: Have at you!DELTA MGT: You are indeed brave, Sir Pilot, but the fight is mine.DALPA: Oh, had enough, eh?DELTA MGT: Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left.DALPA: Yes I have.DELTA MGT: Look!DALPA: Just a flesh wound. [bang]DELTA MGT: Look, stop that.DALPA: Chicken! ChickenDELTA MGT: Look, I'll have your leg. Right! [whop]DALPA: Right, I'll do you for that!DELTA MGT: You'll what?DALPA: Come 'ere!DELTA MGT: What are you going to do, bleed on me?DALPA: I'm invincible!DELTA MGT: You're a loony.DALPA: The DALPA always triumphs! Have at you! Come on then. [whop] [DELTA MGT chops the DALPA's other leg off]DALPA: All right; we'll call it a draw.DELTA MGT: Come, Patsy.DALPA: Oh, oh, I see, running away then. You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll never cave on scope!

"Clowns". Interesting choice of words. "Quality of individuals". You must think that somehow flying an old & slow turbo prop in the military makes your experience more valuable than mine. I mean I guess your right, I was just shooting the River Visual three times a week and flying 3-5 legs a day in a JET into all the major east coast hub cities. But what do I know.

"Experience our customers receive." I agree the customer service is often not acceptable at express. However, you should take a closer look at what your customers experience while flying on your express side. And who is responsible for what part of the operation before assigning blame. For instance, walking out one door that leads to anyone of five airplanes with maybe one person directing them. No protection from the weather. Pylon cones connected with twine. This is YOUR ground and gate personnel. YOUR operations who decide this setup. All we do is fly the planes. But why let facts get in the way of a strongly held opinion.

CRJ 900 - 90 seats/76 seats if flying Delta px

What is the logic in that? I thought MEH was the only outfit that bought large planes and too seats out. But in theory, they cater to business travelers. Since when did Mesa start caring about seat pitch?

Why wouldn't they operate 70 seaters?
