Hopefully the anchor is chained to your ankle.

Why don't you make yourself useful and join the Taliban or something?

And you care because WHY? I mean...your W2 is bigger....RIGHT! Oh by the way, how is that "Over-ride" paying you...what, now your lines are blocked to less so that NONE OF YOU get ANY OVERIDE PAY!! Nice job...WAY TO VOTE THAT IN... Oh that's right....You Can't VOTE...with any kind of POWER that is!!!!

You got to be kidding right? A guy comes on here with nothing positive intentions and you blast him? ASA is going down because employees like you. Enjoy the ride you miserable bum. And what lawsuit did you win that allows the plan B boat.....

Duck_killer,
Do a search of Acarpe's posts on FI. Read what he posted about CMR pilots and then tell me again about his "positive intentions".... By the way, no lawsuit "allowed" me any boat. ASA has provided me with the income for that plan B... just requires some financial planning.....

Joe, thank god I only saw you on the bus twice and never had to fly with you-got my whole month change that month a few years back-the good ole days of 3 weeks off for one week of vac. Getting 8 yrs back to your current pay is only pay, to many of us alot of other things matter in life, those things are things ASA will never be able to give you.

UGAsucks,

You are absolutely correct about other things that matter more than money. Schedule is the most important thing to me, and as a senior pilot my schedule is great. I get the days off I need, and I get a lot of those days off. I'm not going to give that up. My schedule is better than a junior schedule at the majors now. What you say is true for a junior ASA pilot, but not for a senior ASA pilot. If I was junior, I would probably be out of here as soon as possible.

I don't think acarpe's posts about CMR have anything to do with his positive intentions for ASA. And just for the record, our (I was CMR at the time) unions stand on hiring Delta pilots was dumb. I said that before, but just wanted to reiterate.

That 737POS isn't very bright. I'm a little scared of the idea of him piloting anything.
Do model airplanes count???

Perhaps hes some geeky kid in middle school playing on dads computer.
Sorry, you're the only one who wants to play with your "dad.";)

Seems most of his posts are just before school and just after school hours. He never seems to post during school hours.....hmmm.

Alan:
It's quite obvious you troll the high schools, by knowing what time they let out. I realize that is the only way for you to meet and impress all the chicks. I'll say it again, I sure hope you like your job at ASA, because your chances at DL don't look too promising!

I think you need to go back and reread my post little man! My post was to say that we welcome ASA pilots at Delta! I wanted to encourage them to get their info in soon! My other posts about Comair reflect my feelings. I have no warm heart for Comair! This is about ASA pilots, nothing else.

The rest of this thread has deteriorated but I couldn't agree with this more! ASA guys, Delta has a warm spot in their hiring heart for you! Get the ball rolling!!!! NOW!!!

Not to highjack the thread, but the ASA guys are well thought of at SWA as well (and I assume pretty much every major)

SWA has hired a lot of ASA guys recently, and continues to do so.

I ran into an old ASA bud at an overnight hotel not too long ago, who was under the impression you still needed a 737 type to apply. Not true.

2 ASA guys hired in last months DB without the type.

Good luck to those ASAers who are trying to get out, where ever your target company may be.

After 8+ years there, all I can say is I wish I had gotten serious about leaving years earlier.

I know that I am keeping my options open!;) How's it going over dere braw? I am sure that the "SWA Lifestyle" is treating you well. Fly Safe!:D

180, I have never wanted to go to Delta and have never applied.
That's a good thing for you John, you wouldn't be recieved very well!

I know it is hard for some of you to believe, but not everyone dreams of the double breasted coat and the ability to ask for "wind checks". I have never applied, and I will never apply.
No, its much easier to try and file multi million dollar lawsuits aimed at seniority grab and bankrupting a union!

It would take me about 8 years just to get back to even and I'm not willing to do that.
Fuzzy math by the queen of the rjdc girls club!
ASA 8th yr pay ATR 42/72 =$67/hr
DL 2nd yr pay M88 = $68/hr
But like you said, you're not willing to give that up!

I'm glad for those who want to go, and some great people have gone there. However not everyone wants to be a Delta pilot, and the fact is, most ASA pilots won't be Delta pilots because of the shear numbers involved. There are about 1700 ASA pilots.
That's true, but they try to better themselves! For you its a lot easier to blame everyone else (including ALPA) for your life's misery!

Not that I agree with much John has to say but I think you need to work on the math a little more. I am pretty sure he is more than 8th year pay and don't leave out how much you go in the hole working your way back to a higher payrate.

You're expecting him to use his brain?

So should I hold ALL Delta pilots responsible for your postings regarding CMR pilots?

Rerun your fuzzy math at 14 year ATR pay moving to 700 pay in 2 years... If you are capable of those computations report back to us....

Joe Merchant-

I gotta call bullsh$t on you there fella. There is no way you could have better schedules than the ones we enjoy on the 700.

2 ASA guys hired in last months DB without the type.

You're right. As long as you have a law degree with a PhD and you're also an APD at your airline with many years of PIC, then you too can get on at SWA in your first try with no type rating. Let me know how that goes for ya!

<Just kidding>

ASA yr 14.....................$80/hr
DL 3rd yr M88 f/o...........$79/hr
Most junior f/o on payroll is now ATL 7ER f/o (2nd yr pay 7ER f/o.....$77/hr)

Wow John, I'm speechless, you really showed me....It took you 14 years to make what a 3rd year f/o makes at a BK carrier. Things must be better for you at ASA, with all the bitching you do I can see why you want to stay......Carry on!
Of course with all that lawsuit money you'll be a millionaire!;)

to any and all ASA guys that are confortable there...I know it's hard to make the jump but the difference is night and day. DAL, SWA, or any other major is a HUGE difference. I did not think there would be that big a difference going from ASA to a major but boy was I wrong. I think being at the bottom of DAL, or SWA is way better than at the top of ASA. That being said some guys at ASA deserve to stay there...because we sure don't want them around here and I am sure DAL feels the same way. If I was at ASA, I would be doing everything to get to DAL...especially if they have a "gentleman's" agreement with ASA guys. Just my .02 cents...I did not think there would be such a disparity between airlines but it is night and day. It won't get better at ASA...and to those that still think it will...wake up..and get out. (at least try...nothing to loose in trying).

Then what exactly would you use?

737

Not your brain. You are a condescending person, whom I wouldn't care to share a cockpit with, frankly. Unless of course, this is just your FI persona which makes me think you get off on belittling others. That also makes your character suspect, and then again, I wouldn't want to spend time, work or not, with the likes of you.

Why is it you spend so much time on the Regionals Board if you're a major airline pilot? Goes back to the whole belittling thing? Regional pilots inferior to you?

Again................you're forgetting about having to make up what you lost the first three (or more) years. Eight years as Joe said.........I don't know what his situation is, but it's certainly not as easy as getting back to the hourly rate you were at before in order to break even. You still lost money the first three (+) years.............

You do know that...........right?

Don't leave out the fact that you might not make it thru the training on the 700. I know there are several IPs waiting on you. I might have to go over and watch the show.
