I just read this in the Atlanta newspaper today. Less then 5 days after your management and MEC have you vote for a paycut Delta makes an announcement that it's giving all of its employees raises and stock options. Maybe JC can get the vote recalled or something. Why do us little guys always get shafted. Good luck to all of you.

Pilots need to learn that concessions don't help pilots or the company, they are just one more thing that mgmt uses to degrade our profession. Stop Caving!

What do Delta employees and Comair pilots/employees have to do with each other? They are completely separate entities and work groups not tied to each other in any way possible.
Pretty irrelevant post.

Well you are very uninformed. COMAIR is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta. They are completely DELTA. They are just treated like the red headed step child.

Then why did a profitable company like Comair have to be included in Delta's bankruptcy? Why can't Comair exit bankruptcy on it's own? Why is Comair using Delta's bankruptcy to force bankruptcy court approved paycuts on it's employees? Are you serious?

Comair may be "a part" of the Delta family, but they are definitely NOT DELTA in any way, shape or form ... have never been treated that way and never will be.
Don't try to compare apples with oranges ... it is you who is uninformed because you fail to see the forest because of the trees (or something like that).
Delta treats Comair as a completely separate company who just happens to fall under their blanket. To hold one work group up to another is a complete waste of time and as I said before ... a irrelevant post.

It was the same situation at ASA when we were wholly-owned. When it came to the bad things, we were told we were a valuable part of DAL and had to share the pain. And when it came to the good things, we were told that we were seperate and had to benefit from our own situation. And this didn't only come from DAL and ASA mgmt, but from DAL employees, pilots and even DALPA and ALPA, Intl. All the input we got from other parties was two-sided, two-faced and hypocrytical, and all for their own agenda, not the overall good.

Then enlighten me and explain to me why Comair, which was reporting profits at the time of filing, is in bankruptcy?

Then why did a profitable company like Comair have to be included in Delta's bankruptcy? Because if they did not, then Comair would have been an unprotected asset and they would have come under immediate attack from the Delta creditors. It would have been a catastrophy for Comair. (this is very old news).

Why can't Comair exit bankruptcy on it's own? From all the legal postings and jargon I've read, they can, once all loose ends are tied with their creditors. They just finished a lengthy fight with the pilots, which was required for them to emerge from BK and they are still negoiatng with lease agrements on a few remaining aircraft. They still have a ways to go.

Why is Comair using Delta's bankruptcy to force bankruptcy court approved paycuts on it's employees? That is too simple ... BECAUSE THEY CAN

Are you serious? Very serious ... you just sound pissed off over a TA vote at Comair and now this Delta employee thing comes out and you are blowing off steam ... I understand.
