It's better than the company's yet-to-be-imposed imposed terms, but it still sux considering the company is expected to post a $50M profit for 2006. I voted NO!

Lets see, here is a sh1t sandwich we are going to stuff down your throat, or here is a nice sh1t sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes on it.

You decide.

Oh, by the way, you have to eat one of them.

Enjoy!

Supply and demand favors the NO vote, regionals are hurting for pilots. If you guys get imposed on and shut down there is no way to find replacements. They have to pay you the old contract.

NO- becuase it feels pretty good to do so.

I was going to vote yes (like approxiametly 60% of the group will do) but changed my mind.

Excellent!!! Did you see the announcement re: the bk claim? Sold it for $.75 on the dollar. Kinda convenient timing, the day before the votes close and all

...

No!!!..Because no matter how I try to look at the "big picture", ie. promises of growth, DCI averages, and managements cost competitive bull***t spin, etc.
I still can't get past the fact we made 50 million, and Comair/Delta management is taking food of some of our familys table to get 40 million more.

The definition of "Good goes around" i guess

The company is making money, management is going to get a hefty bonus. Yet the pilots have to take pay cuts. Makes sense right?
"Live to Fight Another Day", there is a great motto. I'd like to kick the clown who thought of it.
Vote No

Good luck to all...Whichever way you vote. I know our managment at ASA is waiting on pins and needles to see how it comes out.

It is interesting that they announce the sale of our claim the day before the vote closes and that the sale is contingent on the ratification of the LOA. Still, $62 million divided by 1500 pilots or so isn't a bad shot in the arm toward retirement savings, especially for those of us young enough to enjoy the full effects of compounding interest.

This is going to be like all the other concessions where everybody says it sucks and they're voting no, then it passes by 60% and 99% of pilots swear they voted no.

Honestly, it doesn't hurt us at ASA that bad. The TA is a lot better than what could have been imposed. Management may try to capitalize on the new 700 rate, but the union's mantra is going to remain "we're not in bankruptcy".

voted no because of all the ******************** their doing the day before voting ends delta announces a new carrier, like it would scare us, and the union sold the claim to try and make us vote yes, well i voted no.

I did the same thing. Thought the bankruptcy claim was a nice deal not to pass up. I then thought about the $50 million dollars Comair made and how they are trying to f**k us through bankruptcy. I made up my mind, even if I get a big payout, what our management is doing is wrong. It is a moral vote...I voted NO and it felt right.

People were pissed off about lack of information about the BK claim. Then when some concrete information is released, pretty much as soon as it became available, people get all pissed becuase they believe there is some conspiracy.

Maybe they should have just withheld the information. Then of course people would be angry that they were voting with out all the facts and were mis-led.

Extreme views aside, the information people want is how the money will be distributed. The amount of money is good to know, but not paramount.

Accusing people of hypocracy isn't the best way to pursuade them into voting your way.

Ok great. It wasn't for the purpose of persuasion anyway. Did I mention in the post how I was voting?
