I think LGA is closing as well---because a lot of the LGA flying is going to AWAC and PSA. And MOST of the flying out of RIC is to LGA and BOS so who knows??

This is just a sign of the upcoming pilot shortage. First they lower mins and then they will raise the pay, but only because they will have no choice. Don't look for more days off for a while, but its coming.

Hey ATR, lighten up. I was an RAH guy before it was RAH. What I AM implying is that it wouldn't hurt to keep the mins a little higher if you're hiring for the 170s. That's a lot of plane for a newby. I don't know who explored the nether regions of the runway at CLE, maybe they were high time, who knows, but those types of situations can't be made less likely by hiring low time pilots.
