Just curious what first hour fuel burn and subsequent is on the -400?

Is it a nice flying airplane?

it flies great & lands nice. just an awesome airplane. I can't remember the 1st hr burn......more than I can afford.

ask BMAN about the burn.......he can tell you.

I would say first hour burn at high weights is 16-18 tons. Just depends on how heavy. After that at FL 300 and 360 tons burn is around 12 tons per hour and decreasing as the weights come down.

It's been quite awhile, but if memory serves, somewhere around 28,000pph for the first hour of a long haul. Average around 22,000 to 24,000pph for the whole trip. Of course burns can vary greatly depending on weight, temp, not getting a planned altitude for a step etc. Hope this helps and maybe someone more current can confirm/correct me.

Box Jockey has it right, but remember that is METRIC tons so times those #'s by 2.2 to get pounds per hour.

Flies very well. I fly Navy jets and the -400 and the -400's agility and performance astound me every time.

Don't worry about it Whiskey. Whenever Spider Monkey (737pylt) is posting stuff the mods take a closer look. The reason being is his immature posts. You just got caught up in his stink. Put him on your ignore list like a lot of here and he'll go away.

I shouldn't have to do that! The mods should be fair in their judgement and at the very least explain why someone's post was removed. Like I said, something else had to be posted because what I said was not worthy of that treatment...
