Shy thanks for the reply.

I forgot to ask earlier, but how long are FO's spending on reserve? Has there been any talk about changing the way colgan operates since pinacle got involved, or are they going to let you guys take care of business as usual?

Everyone has a shot. It all depends. It is usually a pretty senior base, but not as of late, since everyone's been upgrading. Good luck.

Shy

Shy's right. 3 out of 4 FO's in ORF should upgrade in the next 10 months. And we could use another one anyway - we don't have a reserve FO unless IOE is taking place. CA's another story. - BCD

Hey Jackhammer,
Are you in the C-130 outfit at CRW? I think that a bunch of guys are upgrading there, but don't know if they are heading. Lots of movement here under ordinary circumstances, and even more so with the 4 addtional SAABS comin on-line thru May for the CKG and MGW stuff. If you want to get on-board it wouldn't be too long till you were able to get CRW. In the meantime, fly the C-130 as much as you can, get AC qual'd and look elsewhere if you can. You can do much better than CJC as a current ANG Herk driver.

Regards,

Kaman,
Yup I fly Herks in Charlie West. Just thought CJC would be a good place to build some 121 experience wth my Mil flying especially if I could get CRW out training(less commuting). Anywho

Thanks for the reply

Crap! Looks like I'll be in class with you again.

Yeah right Mr. WU....you plan on upgrading again?

How are you going to bid reguarding the Q? Obviously a pay scale and basing system needs to be released to make an accurate decision, but, I am sure you have an idea.

I'll bid the right seat so I can bypass the high time Saab captain transitions when I upgrade in it. Shouldn't take more than 6 months and I'll be getting glass cockpit time.

Your mothers a retard. Wait sorry. She really is. Hey I think it is pretty cool she won the 5 meter retard druel in the special olympics though you must have superior genetics.

How is the quality of life at Colgan? I have a friend interested and I was curious, any advice? Thanks...

Honestly....IF you are based at home...or at least where you want to be....then the lack of overnights can be really nice. (I was home every night but two last month.) Outstation basing leads to a lot of scheduling challenges when it come to sick calls and such. This is otherwise known as doing da Colgan. There are lots of repos and schedule changes in addition. Other than that you pretty much get what you expect from a regional. IAH is a bit more like a real airline with overnights. Good luck..

Thanks...I'll pass this along. I work for a small regional too, a company that leaves something to be desired most days. But I must say, the people I work with are great! I know all too well about scheduling challenges and schedule changes, that don't benefit us, of course. How long's the upgrade? Sabb vs. Beech?
