So how far is 3570 from the first 1999 hire?

From the latest APL list (12/06), it appears the junior recalled pilot was number 3512 (7/89). On this last bid, there are 53 open positions to fill. 13 left from the last bid and 40 new recalls. At a 3:1 accept ratio, I would think they will go in the neighborhood 3670 to fill these slots (10/98). The first '99 newhire (actually 11/98) is number 3810. After this bid, they should be within 150 pilots of the first '99 newhires. They are expected to recall approximately 30-40 pilots per month until at least August. Again at a 3:1 accept ratio, I would think the first '99 pilot will get a shot at the 190 within the next two bids. My "guess" is the APR bid will be the winner....

April huh? Ok i'll put my vote in for June.

I'm all for bypassing recall until the end of time, except that if the merger with Delta starts to look like it might actually happen, it might be a good idea to be on-property (if possible) when the snapshot is taken.

Snapshots are taken when the merger is announced, too late now.
I disagree. The snaphsot isn't until the merger closes since until that point it may not actually happen. The AWA/USA snapshot was in September '05.

Try May 19, 2005 when the merger was announced for seniority list verification which means amongst other things any furlough time after that does not count.

As you know, the seniority list "certification" never actually took place since there were disputes. In any case, my source is from our Merger Committee. And Andy is correct about the PID. If your source disagrees then I guess it's just one more thing for Mr. Nicolau to decide.

Didn't mean to open a can of worms there. Just saying might be better to be on the property before the East MEC has an opportunity to negotiate away my recall rights in exchange for crew meals. ;)
