SJS is stoopid.

Yankees suck.

As does this thread.

How come your friend didn't try for a LGA base. Easy Commute as well.

the band at the ocean deck is the worlds worst raggae band, but the same bum who has been dancing on the beach to it for the last 8 years is still there.

That's true. But I'd rather fly a turbo in a place I love than a jet in a place I hate. Take it from me, I know first hand.

Very true. When I got hired at Mesaba I was VERY happy that I got the Saab over the Avro. I got based back home in a few months. If I went to the Avro I NEVER would have made it back home. It would have been 2 years of commuting, then a furlough. Sounds like fun

But you guys know just as well as I do (probably better) that turbojet time is better if you can get it. Why fault someone for going after that?

Right seat time is irrelevant on whether you get t-prop or t-jet. Commuting out of a domicile you live in to fly a "jet" is about the stupidest thing I've ever of heard of. Commuting ain't free and for first year FO's to engage in such unnecessary expenses shows a lack of judgment that has no place in this profession.

No way, they're awesome. I've spent many-a $20 on them in the tip jar!

i think that was the alcohol talking. that place made a mean montecristo sammich though, but more of my dollars went to the south turn. great wings and jello shots by the pitcher.

*ding* folks, this man right here understands what it's all about. Flying an airplane is MERELY a job. So get a job that makes your LIFE happy, and you'll be all set. Get a job that lets you fly a shiny plane with glass, and lead a crappy life commuting? You'll be miserable.

Do the majors care if you have jet PIC or turboprop PIC?

I used to live right by the south turn. I've yet to find better wings anywhere and believe me, I eat some damn wings!! I used to get them grilled, hot, then re-dipped in hot.

The only good thing that came outta Texas is my Scott Leather bag. Nice work. Of course I had to cover up the "branded" outline of Texas with a sticker. Still looking for a W.TF one.

Sorry about your friends luck. DFW sucks. So do the Yankees.

I don't believe in SJS. I came to fly a *ahem* *cough* "jet" because my commute would be easier. BY ALOT. It had nothing with the machine. I do admit though I do have A330-itis. Nice work there. But I would need to be paid accordingly.

Precisely. Right-seat multi turbine time is right-seat multi turbine time. Being able to enjoy your life is what it all boils down to. Flying is only a job, folks. I can't stress this enough.

you are a true american. i JS down to get a medical and get south turn wings. i'm almost due

THE SOUTH TURN!! A man after my heart! (though I don't pack...)

Those wings were so awesome, what a great place to kill beers and enjoy some wings. Ah, memories...

I lived pretty close to the southturn, well close enough that I'd walked home from there ********************faced before! Mmmm, they had the best wings in Daytona.

I don't mean to sound cruel, but it sounds to me like the new Eagle guy who didn't get BOS just got a great big dose of reality, airline style. I hope he can deal with it now, because it doesn't get any better, until he's on the top of the list. That's coming from experience.

Eagle has no training contract. If he doesn't like what he ended up with, he can try somewhere else. At least he wouldn't have to commute so far. That 4-hour BOS-DFW flight sucks. Again, from experience.

All that being said, there are worse jobs than flying the Saab for Eagle.

Not sure which hangover I enjoyed more, the one from the beer, or the one that comes from destroying a flock of adolescent chickens smothered in hot sauce. Drummies, Wingies, I don't care, I'm equal opportunity.

NOOB! *points and laughs*

ok, now that I've ridiculed you, Ho-train is the best regional out there. They're basedin the PacNW and fly Dash 8's, QX400s, and CRJ7s. Do the research for your answer...

ohh horizon? with the 18 year upgrade. sounds awesome. listen up young'ns go fly freight and make more money than the ho-jet and upgrade quicker and get on with your life!

I personally look foreward to the second tingle that 25 or so suicide grilled gives you the day later. At least it takes your mind off the rageing headache
