Overheard on the jumpseat from a sim instructor...

200 total to be recalled next year, starting with 10/month and eventually going to 40/month. They are recalling and training chekc airmen and sim instructors to accomodate the updated #'s.

Hope it's true!

They've gone through all 60 FIS's (those who took furlough out of seniority) to get 6 confirmed takers.

I have been told that the callback numbers will increase significantly by the second half of '07.

The 'nuts and bolts' negotiating on the new contract began yesterday. TC

Yippee!!!

I'll be recalled in 6-10 years!!!! LOL

Seriously, this is good news. I bet a lot of folk don't go back. Be interesting to see how it all works out. But hey, at least we are heading in the right direction.

More like 2-3 years, with the deferral rate. I atcually believe we'll see off the street hiring within 3 years.

Age 60 rule stays intact. Recalls accelerate. Who'da thunk it? :D

My bet is that AA recalls at least 300 in 07. And burns through 1000 numbers to get them.

I don't normally post a lot, but I have to ask something. Why does everyone want to totally lay the smackdown on Instructordude? He's excited about flying for a major someday. I may be a little older than him, but I kind of agree with him. After I retire I too would like to fly for a major. I hope to see many pilots on the property that are as enthusiastic as Instructordude. Just my $.20.

Because they are bitter that they don't have the karma or power of instructordude.

Are you serious? Take a look at his posts. He is flame bait. Didn't the Kfed weblink give it away?

Apparently KFed is now called FedEx.

I hope you get hired here at AA!!! Just remember not to call the cockpit while we are in sterile. (I will brief you on that). I also like my coffee with milk, not cream and NO sugar.

Thanks,

AA

I don't really keep a talley on all of his posts and if he's messing around or not. All I know, is he acts excited about an industry that seems to be turning around somewhat. And frankly, so am I. Flying at AMR would be a dream come true.

As for Instructordude's infatuation with KFed, I'm a little too old to comment on that.

Tell you what, I am not going to waste much more time on this subject, however if you are not familiar with some of the functions available to you on FI then may I suggest clicking on Istructordudes name and look at his posts and responses to posts.

If you still can't figure it out, then like so many others on here you are most likely not who you say you are.

AA

Probably because he's more excited about having gay sex with Kevin Federline and puts that talentless a-hole's web site in every post.

Geesh, I guess we can consider this thread officially hijacked.

AAFlyer, Thanks Dude. Same to you.

I got tired of being asaulted on this forum. I would say something like "Personally, I would rather fly for a legacy than an LCC." I would then get 400 posts/insults by SWA F/U and his gang of zealots. I just tired of the whole thing.

6 months ago if you said anything slightly negative about the LCC model, you were attacked aggressively.

Anyhow, I hope all the LCCs keep making money. Whatever. JetBlueKoolAid, SouthWest, WalMartAir, Skybus, Greyhound, Virgin America, Ryan Air......blah, blah, blah.

I retire from the military in 5 years and 3 months. As long as I'm recalled by then, I'll be happy. My golf game is getting a lot better. Life's tough.

Who knows? I might even get an A fund someday.

I know what you mean,

Between those guys and the AA haters it is not always nice here. Then again C & R isn't much better, and those are guys we fly with!

Glad you are enjoying golf, looking forward to your speedy return, and lastly do what I do on occasion. Post just to piss them off!!

Cheers,

AA

Oh!, you'll get milk in your coffee alright....

.....I suggest hitting StarBucks if you value your health!!!:):):)

What About The Eagle Pilots?

Don't the AE pilots with flowthrough senority numbers play into the recall? They should because the flow backs screwed up there lives for a few years.

SO you can flow up but we can't flow back? WHAAA Get a clue. When its time for them to get recalled they will- just like the rest of us
