The Call in Honest policy has returned to its pre-"capt" Ed version. No longer will schedulers have the option to give away your whole trip (without pay)should you miss your commute. Instead, you will have the right to pick up the rest of your trip when you do make your commute. Much like the current sick policy.

Is there a return of the positive space ride if you miss your first flight? That was a sweet deal while it lasted. Hard to believe that you can't pick up your trip when you finally make it to work. Didn't you guys have any language concerning CIH in your '05 agreement?

I'm not sure if the positive space language has been added to the TA. I didn't dig too deep into the CIH policy, I just remember a little bit from the road show video.

YPF, If I understand correctly, Compass was part of a Northwest ALPA plan/strategy to give furloughed NWA guys jobs. Now that NWA is recalling pilots, does that change anything? I guess my real question is, if there are no NWA pilots around that want to work for Compass, does that let Northwest off the hook for the whole plan?

What will they do with the 36x Embraers they just ordered? I assume there's a penalty for cancelling something that big ???

Thanks :)
Don't look for it to be that easy. Compass has some restrictions including flowup and flow-back provisions if memory serves that makes it attractive to keep their nicer, shinier aircraft going to.

Additionally, the scope changes still lock out PCL and MSA for anything over 85 seats or something like that? The new ERJ can seat up to 107 if I remember correct in a business class configuration. Would be an excellent mid-range platform that the public would like flown at Compass due to the scope restrictions at MSA and PCL.

It also keeps a 3rd partner into the "whipsaw dance" that we all have come to know and love.

I'm sure this is where YPF whips out that T.A. on his desk and corrects my exact errors, but I still believe the point will still exist that Compass will have its uses for the larger RJ's on order.

Honestly Yip, I'd be more exact if I gave a fat, flying fu*k, and I'd go bother and read it all again but,,, I just don't care beyond what happens to my friends who are still at MSA and PCL.

There's no way for the regionals to save the majors and the majors don't care to try.

Does anyone know of any comparable history to ALPA's $14.2 claim? How have other claims been paid out? What would an average pilot need to recoup the cost of the give-backs?

It seems possible that the pay-out from the claim could pay for our concessions themselves. I'm looking for how likely it would be.

Then again, it's possible that Spanky Jinglepants will have monkeys fly out of his a$$, but not likely. Darn. But that would be sweet, too!

United pilots had a claim, got paid in stock when they came out of bankruptcy.
