So my brother calls DCA and askes them about their program, and what they think about ATPS, and who is the best in the country.

The DCA phone rep told him that DCA is the best, only second to ERAU, and when he mentioned ATPS, the phone rep started laughing. I am making this post so my brother can see what you all think of DCA.

Fire away please, professional aviators.
$100K at a high interest rate for a job @ $20K first year and years to get to anything over $50K a year? They're all a bad idea. Go to a normal college, get a "real" degree and earn your ratings and time as you go. Then decide if you want to work in this industry.

As long as people continue to go through the "pilot mills" and pay to get the job, things are going to stay depressed.

I will tell you that I had a better experience at DCA than at ATP's but would never want to repeat or recommend either one.

I couldn't agree more. I really can't in good conscience recommend getting involved in this industry however.

You certainly can't get any quality tail at ERAU or UND - talk about FUGLY...

Better to go to Arizona State (60,000 tan students = plenty of hot chicks) or some of the Florida schools unrelated to aviation (FSU or Gators or Cains). I agree, get your ratings on the side, tow some banners and then decide.

Six, your profile makes me sad.

It's not too bad. I am considering going back to United. I now fly a Global Express a few times a month to some interesting destinations around the world - mainly Europe. Could be worse. This is a great industry!!!!!!!!!!!!
