My friends did say that I would have to do well on the interview portion to get to the DB. However, I was told on the day of my interview that everyone goes to the DB. Now whether or not, interviewees are separated into stacks is yet to be seen. Either way, there have been cases of people getting the call without references being called. Hopefully, this helps. Good luck to all and hopefully the calls start soon!!!

Can someone in the "know" please explain the process once and for all?

Does everyone go to the decision board regardless of interview results?

Why does some get references called and others do not and is it a bad thing or not to not have any of your references called?

What would sway a positive result on the decision board? Is it the interview process itself, references called, work history........what?

Any other pertinent information you can provide about the process after the interview would be appreciated!

Ears burning?

Does anyone feel their ears burning? This could be a good sign just like the UFO I reported to ATC earlier this afternoon, Something about a 1 800 number what they don't believe me? Then I told them I was waiting to hear about my Southwest interview. They said no harm no foul and to call em' like I see em'. J/K

I'll never understand why people are stressing now. You should've been nervous at the interview because now it's out of your hands. I don't envy you getting those annoying emails from other interviewies saying "Did anyone hear anything yet? I haven't just wondered." Why send an email? Are you that fricking board. Get a life. You guys know who you are.

Come on its a hugh life change if you get it. It's like the cross roads in your life. If you get SWA or you don't will make such a dramatic change in your life, especially over time. So yea I am a nervous wreck wondering if I got it. And about friends sending an email, if they are your friends they are excited for you too. That or they are junior to you and want to bid your vacation.

So let me ask the question, "anybody hear anything yet?" and "what does NOT having your references called mean? and "how long to find out the results?" and the most important, "does everyone get to go to the DB?"

I didn't quote everything you said because I don't agree with it all so forgive me. I do however, agree with this part.

I interviewed as well and nothing would give me more pleasure than to let my wife know that I got a call; especially now that I'm furloughed. However, it won't be the end of the world if they don't. Will I be disappointed? Of course. In the grand scheme of things, it comes down to paying the mortgage and not being miserable at work. This is what I'm looking forward to. I still think that my previous post was funny but apparently nobody likes Marlon Brando. Sooooooooooooo Screw You! I'm gettin some Pie!
