8th Circuit Says Trans States Airline
Was Justified In Firing Muslim Pilot

ST. LOUIS (CN) - The 8th Circuit dropped a discrimination claim
against Trans States Airlines brought by a Muslim pilot of Indian
descent who claimed he was wrongfully fired for allegedly saluting
the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in a hotel bar. The EEOC claimed pilot
Emmet Conrecode anonymously told the FBI and Capt. Daniel Reed, vice
president of flight operations, that he overheard fully uniformed
pilot Mohammed Shanif Hussein supporting the attacks a few days after
they occurred. According to Conrecode, Hussein saw a replay of the
planes hitting the twin towers on TV, raised his beer glass "as in a
salute and took a swig." Hussein claimed he had been smiling in the
bar because he found out that his wife was pregnant. Nevertheless,
Reed fired Hussein, a decision he claimed to have made before the FBI
contacted him. The circuit found that the airline had established a
legitimate, non-discriminatory reason for firing Hussein, then a
probationary employee. But it denied Trans States' motion for
attorney fees because the complaint was not entirely frivolous. See

I bet this isn't over yet! They'll appeal it and it'll be overturned.

He was fired for wearing his uniform in a bar and upseting the passengers by talking about flying a plane the next morning. The court docket says he made "comments" about Sept. 11th and raised a glass. He testified under oath that he said the attacks were "atrocious" and that he was happy about his wife being pregnant. In any case, he was on probation and an idiot for wearing his uniform in a bar.

Exactly! What ever happened to not wearing the uniform in a bar. Let alone DRINKING in uniform. This was just asking for disciplinary action.

Call it a hunch, but right now some cleric somewhere is calling for a jihad against Trans States. Be careful out there you infidels. Ooops, I mean you guys.

Good fire them all!!!! Go back to wherever they came from.

I love it when white trash like you make the "go back to where they came from" comment.

Unless you're a Native Indian, then even your ass came from somewhere else. We're all immigrants to this great nation.

This is one guy, one specific case. The main problem is him being drunk while in his pilots uniform.

I know this guy personally And "back to where he came from" is Northern California. He's a US Citizen Born in the US. He's actually a Fijian Indian. Drinking in Uniform is a whole nother story.

see what happens when the southern problem isnt taken care of after the civil war? these hate filled people are everywhere. OMG some dark skinned guy MUST be talking and suppoting the 9-11 attacks! Fire him!!!

He's from Northern CA like i said above. His parents are Fijian Indians as in From Fiji.. you know.....that small Island in the south Pacific. Not form India at all.

12.7 percent of Asian Indians are Muslim. (Don't forget that Pakistan and east-Pakistan (Bangladesh) were once part of India.)

Interesting fact: Emmet Conrecode is an ex-TWAer.

muslims are everywhere, LOCK UP YOUR CHILDREN!

I think Europe is going to wake up to that reality very soon. I'd rather not have the USA continue down the same dangerous path, thank you. This is my country, not theirs. Their civilization, or lack thereof, has failed, and they blame it on the West. They come to destroy it.

I am native american -you ass clown.

I am native american -you ass clown.

If you truly are, then fine, my previous comment does not apply to you. I figured the chances of anyone here being a Native Indian is very low, but if you are, then you are not in the category of immigrants who came here. Your people were however, truly hosed by the white man when they came over.

AMANSWORLD Never mind it's not worth it

Too late, I did read your original post before you edited it. You're the kind of person who wants a bullet put in EVERY muslim in the world (your words). For you to make a statement like that regarding 1.5 billion people, simply based on the actions of 19 of them on 9/11... makes you just as lunatic and inhuman as the terrorists.

yes of course theyre going to take over everything, unfortunately the same nonsense was said about countless other groups. asians, irish, jews, etc

and yet it all came from the same people, and they wore white sheets

The same world-is-ending-they're-all-taking-over crap used to be said about Scandanavians and Germans in Minnesota in the late 1800's-early 1900's.
