The funny thing is, they had to buy the rights to Zero Hour in order to make Airplane. The movie was based entirely on it.

I've listened to the directors' commentary on the Don't Call Me Shirley DVD, but I didn't realize how a lot of it was a scene-by-scene parody.

My wife and I got this from netflix a while back. We laughed the whole way through. I kept pausing it to insert the funny lines from "Airplane".
