Aviation is a pretty small world.. . . I will make a call monday morning. I will also get a hold of the more influential director of ops and chief pilots that I know from that region that frequent that area and I am sure they would be more than happy to get the word out and share their thoughts with the fbo, most have a "silver tongue"..

Standby 1, I would not even waste the time and effort with regards to writing one or any letters for that matter at this most trying time(s) for you and your entire family. Simple solution is let them wait and don't worry about something like that right now. This is unethical and extremely unprofessional for them to send you a bill at this point in time.
Do as you wish but I surely would not waste any time in composing any letter(s) if it were me.
