Perspective and or the lack of it, immediately comes to mind.

Stickers, eh? Maybe you should put down the shovel and stop digging kid.

Ask anyone who has had to try and negotiate a contract at any major or national airline in the past 9 years what they think of the weak, self-serving and shortsighted east pilots who cling to LOA93 out of fear of what Cleary and Bradford sold them. The east pilot's arrogance is epic and exceeded only by their reputation in the industry for exactly who and what they are - the embodiment of Lorenzo's ideals.

Well "Old Timer," if you want to play that card than you of all people should know better... Comparing and claiming that USAPA did worse than Lorenzo is just silly. Ever pick up a book and read about him and the fight at Eastern? Makes the East/West imbroglio look like a pillow fight...

A little more time in the industry and you may begin to get it, but selfishness is never highly prized or rewarded.

LOL... Our whole country is founded on selfishness... Not highly prized or rewarded? You sleigh me. How do you explain the very recent $20 mil severance for driving AA nearly into the ground? How bout a few yrs ago, Goldman Sachs selling securities they knew were crap to customers and then betting against them? and on and on and on...

No selfishness has been elevated to a religious experience in our society.

Book? I saw it up close and personal. Lorenzo was destructive, but USAPA made it their mission to destroy the lives of fellow pilots. Try losing a home or marriage from the financial and emotional stress of defending yourself against lawsuits filed by the union you are forced to support and then come soft pedal USAPA's impact on this board.

Lorenzo used the opportunity provided by deregulation and unprofitable airlines to fuel his juggernaut. USAPA used the opportunity of gullible pilots and a leadership vacuum to subject not only their own pilots to the unnecessarily low pay and benefits of LOA93, but all pilots whose contract negotiations were affected by the influence of LOA93 on market rates. Remember, the same idiots who wanted to play with their Jimmy Hoffa puppets and pretend to be union leaders set the stage for LOA93 and did nothing to get rid of it when they ginned up USAPA. A little maturity would have gone a long way.

The most dismal point though has to be that it took a legal system to remove Frank Lorenzo from the front lines of the airline business. USAPA remains in power due to 3500 pilots who don't give a damn about anyone but themselves (ironically they don't really care about themselves or they would wake up and realize Bradfords sham really gained them nothing but a permanent reputation).

From your "perspective" in the Peanut Gallery it's clear you have little insight into either battle.

And all of you 'sumbitches in your piddly east-west war, stop running over the Goon in Santa's vehicle! That's just not nice!

After you won the lottery, maybe you
should have compromised a little and
helped come up with a more fair and
workable SLI.

Percentile by category is winning the lottery?

Wow....
I generate one post on FI thinking that there would not be any east vs west hijacking... Wrong!

Explain.

How many TA's were voted down by the pilot group? Did Cleary protect you from yourself? Did he protect himself from you?

Exactly how many people would there have been between you and an upgrade at the PID vs the number between you and upgrade with the NIC on the same date?

Now explain how this is worth the pay sacrifice the east has caused so many to suffer.

Please, there are folks who want to understand this as well as you do.
