My Favorite ...

When whizzin down a fast freeway you come around a bend to find brake lights ... what does the "True Aviator" do? Applies back pressure on the steering wheel rather than forward pressure on the brake!

TransMach

...You have ever reached 70 MPH in your car and have instinctually pulled back on the steering wheel.

...or if you aren't going fast enough, pushing forward on the gearshift handle while glancing at the dashboard, looking for the ITT guage!

you know when

You enter a fog bank in your car, and start scanning your speedometer, tach, battery gauge, and oil temp guage

when someone asks a question, instead of hold on or just a second, the response is always standby.

When you put on your cell phone ear piece while driving and reach down to the arm rest for the boom/mask switch.

When you get out your magnetic compass and measure the driveway and contemplate painting 08 on the approach end.

When you use "roger" in everyday speech with ground pounders.

When you respond to the wife's "honey do" wishes with "wilco."

When you give someone directions on taking an interstate interchange by saying, "make a right 270..."

When you nudge the car forward in 1st so it'll rock back and make it easier to get the gear shift into reverse.

When you have a shutdown checklist for getting out of the car.

Guilty!
When you say "standby" to a question
When you start to say something but then just say "disregard."

U know you been fly'n caravans too long

...when you can pinch one off out of the storm window, without getting any on the plane.
