Sooooo..... it was the Mesaba RUN station that kept the passengers on the aircraft in Rochester.

Let me guess "We're a little short staffed today" was the answer given.

Go ahead and continue to award the rest of the ASA stations to the lowest bidder.

GOOD JOB DELTA!!

Why didn't the Captain just declare an emergency? If you have a "health" emergency onboard with overflowing toilet etc, then I think you can do that. You tell ATC or whoever is there at RST at 1am that you are declaring an emergecy and evacuating (via stairs) onto the ramp. There you go.

I think a lot of the stations should get 2 or 3 DC9 flights a day vs 5 or 6 RJs. Just get rid of the RJs---that would probably solve a lot of our problems--pax hate them anyway, they are inefficient and lose regularly against Airtran 717s, and they clog up the system climbing out at 220 kts above FL200. Sounds like a better answer.

You are simply the most retarded person who has ever visited the internet.

-Declare a "beer emergency" and evacuate. At least people wouldn't think you were insane.

Do you seriously think an RJ climbs out a 220 knots?

Wow

The passengers should have opened the over wing exit.
Not a jury in the country would have convicted him/her for wrong doing.

I'm suprised not a pilot/dispatcher/management type would have not known it was ok for them to be in the "sterile" area of the terminal.
