Not sure about in the UAE...but domestic FOs start at $52k.

My understanding is that the 52-k is also the second and third year F/O pay-is that correct?

UAE: 52K plus 25 percent override, plus 10 percent cost of living, plus free housing, plus car. Family's get two Business Class tickets home per family member per year, plus children's tuition paid.

Direct Entry Captain (UAE ONLY) is the same, but has a starting base pay of 90K plus overrides.

CaptFred, we had a pay freeze due to the downsizing and economy. I understand that is to be lifted this month.

I appllied three months ago, with a CL30 type rating. Not even an e mail response.

Word I got was that internal recommendation was absolutely required at this point.
