Read something today that said XJT has over 9,000 applicants. What is their procedure for calling applicants? I keep hearing that people are getting a call in a month or so; so are the 9,000+ applicants just not what the company is looking for? Seems like with that many people applying then they can quit accepting new ones.

I guess I'm just hoping that when my application goes out in March it won't drown as number 10,001. Any ideas?

I heard that a good portion of those online applications were errors, duplicates or those that didn't mean the minimums. The pool of eligible applicants was a bit smaller.

Anything you read on here is hearsay and shouldn't be taken with a grain of salt. There is very little truth to ANYTHING posted here. Everything has a spin put on it.

There's more than one way to drown

Any idea how small the "actual" pool was?
Only 5 feet deep; no diving allowed. There's also no lifeguard so you're on your own.

Does it really matter? If you want to work at ExpressJet you apply, if not then don't apply. You'd think of all the things to worry about when applying that "pool" size would be one of the last.

And not all of us who were offered the job took the offer.
If offered a position, can you elect to get back with them on your final call if your not sure at the interview? Or do you have to let them know right there?

Be prepared to accept the class date offered at the interview.
If you get the interview the job is yours unless you screw up Big Time !!!

Yeah thats what I thought. Another questions for you. What do you think of the 2007 date when your contract to fly for CAL comes up? Is there any chance of XJT losing some flying then?
