I'm about to be furloughed with about 2100 and 1200. Are they interested in people with prior 121 experiance?

Is XJT really hiring at 500/100 now? That's what's on airline pilot central.
Are you sure you are not watching comedy pilot central?

You got it

Ha! I just talked to two of your guys last night. Both mini guys, seemed like good guys, man I felt bad for what's going on over there. I remember that 2 years ago or so mesaba seemed like a good place to be.

They sent me an email last month telling me I wasn't qualified enough to interview with 1300 total/700 multi.

I have double those numbers and got a similar email about two months after applying. BUT - A month or so after that I received another email saying they had reviewed my questions and wanted to interview. So maybe something will come down the pipe. Keep a lookout.

XJT is funny about flight time. I was hired with 2000 total time, meanwhile my buddy with 2500 ttl did not get hired. I guess it depends what kind of mood there in. By the way XJT is a great company and I'm glad to be here.

I knew someone about 2 years ago get hired at XJT with 2500/300M - CFI and 135 IFR pax charter background and a degree from Riddle.

Nope. Heard the rumor, saw the website. They don't have anything on the company one (unless I'm missing a link). Ex-coworker JUST had a guy in his class with 500/140.

Their website is a bit ambiguous regarding minimum times.

Minimum flight hours may fluctuate as the airline industry changes and ExpressJet grows.

...allows them to take a 500 hr. and reject a 2500 hr. pilot and vice versa at will.

Yup, that's what I figured.

It was a cable channel joke, mixaphorically speaking.
