Hi,

Hopefully someone can calrify this...received a very brief e-mail from ExpressJet on 7/10 asking to pick an interview date and a departure city. The dates are within a week and a half. I replied promptly and a day went by with no response. There was no questionaire. Is this an actual invite or just a lead in to the questionaire that may follow? Assuming it's an invite how long does it normally take for them to get back with an itinerary? Do they send you a packet so that you can finish the paperwork or is it all done in-house? Sure would like to get started on all that paperwork ASAP.

Thanks

Can take up to a week sometimes. I had the questionaire with mine and they didn't get back to me until 1 week later. All paperwork is done after they offer you a job, but sometimes they will fly you back on another day to complete your paperwork. All positive space on all flights while interviewing and in training if you wish to go home on days off during training.

I got the same email and replied to it. No response yet so I'm hoping there is something coming in the mail. I don't think we should be expecting a questionnaire, though, since that new system has us answer all those questions on our initial application. So keep your fingers crossed for a positive space ticket in the mail....
I requested the 18th, by the way...

I did my application online on 7-2, and there was no questionnaire whatsoever. I submitted my resume (didn't use the builder, just copied and pasted it), and then attached my cover letter. It says "Added to Requisition" and I got an email that confirmed I had applied and said that I would be contacted if I met the requirements. The email also requested me to do the Equal Employment Opportunity questionnarie which I did right away.

One of my buddies just applied, he got the questionnaire right after he submitted his resume, so I am a bit confused as to why he got the questionnaire and I didn't. From what I've read, some people get it when they do the application online, and others get it in an email. I've also noticed that there have been some changes to the apperance of the website over the last week or so. I'm confused, that's all...and hope to hear something about an interview from someone here in the near future.

I just applied yesterday and got the questionaire right after I submitted the resume...weird how some people get it in the e-mail and some right one the website.

Maybe the changes on the website caused the questionaire to go online and not e-mail? When did your friend apply, ehoulli?

Better take it, a little voice tells me that until some announcemant of growth were staffed to capacity. You would be one of the last hired.

He applied just a couple of days ago...said the questionnaire asked things about recency of experience, etc...It even had him give preferred interview dates. After that, he got an email that said he was qualified and would be hearing from the company. It is really weird how some people get it right away and others over email. I'd just hate to have my application "hanging" in the air. Like I said, hopefully I'll hear something soon.

Hmm...so not hiring until Dec like was thought before?

Ditto. Haven't heard anything yet, only been a day, but I had the same thing your friend got...got asked which date I'd like to interview, closest airport, recency, etc...I'll keep you posted, you do the same! Good luck!

Did you do the profile builder and resume builder off their website?

Interview dates to select from were July 11, 18, and 21. The email went out on the 10th so I'm not sure how they would be able to get out all the papers in time for a July 11 interview...even for the 18th seems a bit close.

I used the "Build Your Profile" option but didn't use the resume builder as I had my own resume that I just copied and pasted into the space. I submitted my resume and then it directed me to attach my cover letter...did that, and then it said the "Added to Requisition" thing. No questionnaire, no interview dates...that was it.

This was all on July 2nd, so I'm wondering why I didn't get an email on the 10th - I imagine it's because there's probably a backlog of applications that have to interview before they get to mine. I'm flying Part 121 right now too so we'll have to see what happens.

Most of those who get the interview just after submitting are those who are 121 or 135, or are in one of the bridge programs. For others, including myself, it took about 4 weeks to hear back. Be patient, and DO NOT re-submit because it will shuffle your stuff back to the end of the line.

I did the same exact thing as ehoulli on the 6/4/06 and no response still waiting. Anyone know how many they are looking to hire

Incorrect, Hiring to continue through the rest of the year confirmed by the director of Flight Ops. Probably will also continue into next year in my opinion. Good Luck

I just finished training... We were told in class all the way through the end of the year. After that is anyones guess.

A few check airmen have been talking about us getting the Emb. Phenom (sp?) And using them along side our 4 or 5 XRs we outfit for charters.

no e-mail questionaire or online questionaire with my app or my friends June app. I really wish they would take a hard copy of my resume so I at least knew it was there and not lost on some junk computer system...I have a feeling that my online app didn't go through properly or something.

Has anyone else gotten the interview date questionaire or an interview date with a July 1st or later app.?

I can't understand why some people with only 600 & 100 are getting interviews right after fillling out the app. and others aren't.

Most if not all of those who get asked about the interview dates will get an email with a ticket and confirmation number for the date they selected. All speculation - but that was my individual expereince.

Prepare to wait all day long to be interviewed, hang in there.

The hiring pipe is wide open for the year.... possibly more. Big news expected within months, we are all waiting to hear what the flip is going on, but management seems very confiadent that they have a good plan (i.e. continue to lease 69 aircraft for independent use at increased lease rates over what CAL had in the original contract)

Ok, let me expand for all the slow people out there, the current hiring plan ( through DEC ) will staff us for 274 jets. I was under the impression they had done all the interviews through DEC, but I guess I was a little off there. Sorry, have to remember lots of other things right now.

Now read between the lines, until some annoucement of growth or other ventures is made the hiring stops after DEC. Logical, right, since we'll be staffed to capacity!!!!, or attrition continues to stay high through CAL.

You guys all scare way too easy.

Does anyone have any good contact info for someone at Expressjet that can help problems regarding the online app? I filled it out about 2 weeks ago and just received the questionaire link when I log into the XJT hiring page but when I click on it I get a reply that says "you have already completed the questionaire" which I have not done. It also says that I need to complete it continue on with the hiring process but will not allow me to do so. Any info would be great thanks. Feel free to PM me.

the new online app system is garbage, I don't think it even works...my stuff has been screwed up twice now since they changed it.

I wish I knew who to call.

Mustang, how long ago did you apply and have you heard anything from them at all. I just called the headquarters number found on the expressjet site and was forwarded to a voicemail box, left a message about my problem but don't know if I will get any response, have my fingers crossed. This new app. system seems to be a total mess.

I agree with the fact that the online app system sucks. And having no contact with anybody to find out the status of your application also sucks. Ive had my stuff in there for almost 2 months now as well as having three people who, while still being line pilots, are pretty far up the list, and have had nothing come of it.

Yeah, I don't know what to say. Not sure if we have screwed something up or what. It's obviously working for some people because they are still running classes every month so maybe it's on our end. Without having any contacts in the HR dept it's really hard to say, did you fill out the pilot information form and all that? That is the form I'm not able to access, although I'm not sure it will really make any difference.

Current 121 applied 6/5/06 I believe, and still no word. Filled out the survey during the online application, it was 18 questions I think, and it also e mailed me asking to fill it out, but I clicked the link anyway and said it was complete, and I was added to requisition. Hope this Helps
