New reduction notice just came out. 14 Avro Captains are getting bumped to Saab Captains so 14 Saab Captains are getting bumped to FO's and 14 more FO's to be furloughed. The Beatins will continue until morale improves.

They're getting into the part of the seniority list I really feel for. The guys and gals who have been furloughed once possibly twice, and have also have had the added benifit of doing the upgrade downgrade dance. Their hide must be much tougher then mine 'cause I don't know how I would have stuck it through all that, only to have it happen agian.

Planning will put out a voluntary furlough notice if / when the official furlough notice comes out. Attrition might offset the need to furlough when this reduction notice is all said and done.

Wasn't that the same thing last time around? The least amount of shuffling to MSP compared with the end of CVG and a bunch of MEM and DTW being displaced.

Does the XJ contract call for a CA that gets pushed over the console to the right seat keep the CA pay? Or do they take it in the pay shorts as well?

Unfortunatly they do not keep the captain pay. If you are in the right seat voluntarily or not you get right seat pay.
