Just heard in recurrent ground from Ron J that NWA realised that because of a lack of a flaps 8 issue the planes might not be suitable for being based in MSP. I guess that they are making a decision whether to retro fit the aircraft and basing them in msp so they can be suitable for the western flying as they envisioned. He said the decision will be in days, not weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that NWA ordered Pinnacle to take the flaps 8 components from some of Pinnacles airplanes and transfer them to Mesaba. Northwest pays a hefty sum to Bombardier for each airplane that has flaps 8. They pay for the lift capabilities, not the actual parts and 30 minutes of labor to install the three parts. By taking away flaps eight from one airplane and giving it to another airplane they don't pay any more money.

That and Pinnacles history of trying to run airplanes in the mountains surrounding HLN.

Its actually the other way around. The airplanes that are earmarked to go to Mesaba came with flaps 8 but we transfered them to other airplanes that we are keeping.

Wll just remember those are not your planes, NWA can do with them what they want (the Avros were not XJ's, and look how quick those left, oh and also the CRj's we were suppose to get before bankruptcy) NWA can just say.......give us back those parts.............9E says....okay.....done deal.

They are not our planes but the flap 8 mods were purchased by PCL. We will do whatever we please with our flaps thank you.

If you guys at 9E treat your CRJ's like you did your saabs, they will be hardly air worthy like the Saab A models were when NWA took them from you. Keep it up and they will take more from you........you be rude, I will be rude........how many airframes have your pilots wrecked?

Those "A" models taxied like a dream though...
