XJ Closing MSP?

This is totally unsubstantiated and it comes from the mouths of mechanics (so it must be true!), but it at least it's a new rumor to talk about:

XJ will close the MSP base to get rid of all the expensive senior guys who would quit before commuting.

Ha! That's a good one. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Reminder: MAIR holdings annual stockholder meeting is Wednesday 10am at the Crown Plaza, in downtown MSP. Hopefully there will be a good employee turnout.

Don't buy that one. MEM going away maybe, but I don't see MSP going. Just too many flights/cities that only the Saab can do. Now if all the Saabs get phased out and we become an all CR7 or E170 fleet (or something similar) then I'd change that opinion. In fact I'd probably put a few dollars down that our management would do something just that underhanded.

I wouldn't doubt it. But, more likely the MSP AVRO base would close, instead of the whole MSP going away.

Meeting is free. I think that you're supposed to be a stockholder, but how would they ever know? There's no tickets or anything, so I say just show up. I recieved 10 shares back in '97 when it was selling for under $8. It went way up close to $30, had a split, and has stayed low for quite a while now.

Crowne Plaza - Northstar, 618 2nd Ave. South, in Minneapolis. It's a couple of blocks off of the light rail line, so if anyone is comming from the airport, it's quite easy.

One more thing, MAIR has a website: www.mairholdings.com. On there you can see the annual report, and there is a link to the SEC to see all of their filings.
