Who can give me the run down on the story of Republic Holdings having like 4 former Mesaba Holdings execs on their staff now. This includes CEO, COO, CFO and a guy in marketing. What's this all about? Anyone care to shed light on what went down around the turn of the millenium?

The way I've heard the story, Mr. Bedford and company wanted to grow Mesaba, as well as turn it into an all jet operator. The powers that be at NWA/Mesaba did not wish to do so, and so their management team decided to move to "greener pastures" when offered positions at Chautauqua. (And yes, they've grown it a little since they got here.)

Brian and the boys grew XJ like crazy, but made some allegedly private deals with vendors, which were quite lucrative (allegedly). NWA had butted heads with Brian for years and didn't like someone who could think for himself! These alleged deals were the final straw and BB was gone!!
Now we have the village idiot and his band of retards running the show.....Can you guess which airline is doing better right now....Republic or XJ???????
