Not a flame but an observation.

If you don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, how can you speak with authority on the subject????

Sounds to me like you are in a position to provide anything better than good old-fashioned, garden-variety pontification.

I can speak with authority on the subject because not only do I fly airplanes and aspire to fly for Netjets,I drive Tractor-Trailers.I'm a Professional Driver,as such I witness first hand the effect of dui.Drivers are the first ones on the scene of accidents we are first responders and I have seen the kaos and harm that dui imposes on innocent motorists.Your username says MetrSheriff, are you an Officer because an Officer would surely know that what I'm saying is not only true but an Officer would appreciate someone who doesn't do the vices I listed above.

Whoa Nellie!!! I agree with you. I was just being sarcastic. I have no sympathy for idiots who get behind the wheel after drinking. Even the old 1 or 2 with a girlfriend.

Drink + Drive = Jail

Not to mention No Airline Job for You. As for the double barrelled morons who get popped for DUI then try to cover it up at interview time by claiming it was "wreckless driving" (sp) , Tough Sh1t. You attempts at justification, i.e. "it was expunged so it is like it never happened", I say Bullsh1t!!! Not only are you stupid, but you are a liar.

You should have thought about your aspirations to fly for the airlines before you got behind the wheel.

There, that should clarify my position on drinking and driving, not to mention my feelings about these rediculous threads about guys trying hide their 502s from potential employers.

How's that?

I expect some flames from you drunk dri....err...I mean "wreckless drivers out there.

Have at it....

well i agree and now have a zero tolerance policy with myself. only time will test that. this is not going to stop any airline career that i may chose to do some day. thats a matter of fact as well. i let my guard down as it happened 2 miles from my house. wont happen again. as i mentioned before, im still flying jets and that wont change. if i have to ruff it making near airline salary traveling the world eating the best food and spending my time at those supid marriotte resorts with my wife not having to listen to passengers and the media about the job i do than i will do that. people make mistakes...that speeding ticket you all have could have killed yourself of someone else. same thing with that 40 dollar seatbelt ticket. i think some people here should be thinking about going into the ministry, not the airlines.

Good for you. One should learn from one's mistakes. That is a good sign.

Good for you you. If your job is so fantastic, I find it hard to beleive you would want to leave all that for an airline gig. Remember, you are the one who came on telling us how bad you needed to deal with this at an airline interview. We can only go by what you tell us.

You are just trying to mitigate your DUI. Justify it how you want, you are the one with the 502, not me. I have certainly gone over the speed limit, but I try not to make a habit of it. That is really neither here nor there, however. But if it makes you feel better, you are correct, I could have caused an accident driving too fast.

It doesn't take a minister to figure out that if you aspire to an airline career, it is probably not a good idea to drive drunk. Not even 2 miles from your house.

That is just common sense.

If it is a DUI plead down to 'wet' reckless- doesn't it automatically fall off your criminal record and driving record in 7 years in most states??
