...wouldn't it be nice if there was a real union and real brand scope.....Oh well...let's resume trying to take each other's job...back to reality......

Nice....

It would be nice if I took a poop in a crapper made of solid gold. It would be nice if the sky were made from Cotton candy and trees were made of chocolate.

Give it up, Joe! The RJDC is totally, completely and irreversibly DEAD. It will never again rise. It is too idealistic, and since the industry did not start out along those lines long ago, it will never, ever change.

Seriously, just move on..... The RJDC is a total waste of time and is deader than dead. Just find something useful to get fixated on-it is really sad to still be so focused on that crap almost 10 yrs later!

....this has nothing to do with RJDC...It has everything to do with a bunch of pretend union members trying to take each other's flying...while calling each other "brother".....

You are doing the Herndon koolaid backstroke.....and wondering why our bargaining leverage is nada.....look around....you are doing it to yourselves......

They cannot get kicked to the curb until Delta has met the agreement with sixteen.
wanna bet - why do u think peenuckle is throwing everything they can into the operation to meet the minimum completion standard

keep dragging the bottom and the contract is void, just ask mesa

Flight Info ignorance is astounding.....They do own the planes (Pinnacle that is) and they have a 10 year agreement for 16 airplanes...not 5.

They cannot get kicked to the curb until Delta has met the agreement with sixteen.

Keep in mind that with the merger.......all bets are off. It like BK, they are going to start trimming the fat from both companies, and like the post above, if you are the worst performance wise then the contract is void.

I will repeat for the Flight Info mental midgets....numbers are based on 16 airplanes not five....if Pinnacle has one plane down than the numbers are severely skewed against them and Delta understands this.

Ill explain, One plane down for Pinnacle is equal to an 80 percent completion factor. One plane down for ASA would probably not be an issue because of spares.

When 16 planes are on property than the numbers will be evaluated but you all can keep hoping for Pinnacle's failure in ATL.

5 aircraft in service with a spare - thats a much better percentage of spares than ASA has. 9E has been wacking flights with a nice shiny 900 parked on the south pad. asa was picking up 9E flights when 9E couldnt staff them. delta rampers and agents have been complaining about the level of 9E service and crew experience for months now. unfamiliar with the type, unfamiliar with atl, unfamiliar with delta

if you cant handle a 6 jet operation how will the bigger one fare? folks at delta are starting to make noise about the fact that freedumb and 9E are trashing their nice 900s with subpar service. the summer in atl is nothing new to asa, not so much for 9E. good luck boys

Excuses are like A%&holes everybody has them

I can give all you Pinnacle well wishers another fact as to why Delta won't pull the plug quickly.

Richard Anderson, the current CEO for Delta Airlines used to be the CEO between 2001 and 2004 at Northwest Airlines. During that timeframe Pinnacle forged a great working relationship with Northwest
Airlines allowing Pinnacle to grow to a 150 airplane fleet.

Six airplanes are not going to make or break the Delta contract.

Unity!

You will not find true unity among any group-unionized or not, no matter what the profession.

It is all about self-interest, and always will be. Just look at US Air and AWA. Self-interest. You can bet the DAL/NWA guys will dream up new and inventive ways to try and screw each other.

Don't expect selfless sacrifice from any work group of any kind. No one wants to lose their job, and no one will turn down a raise. So if a raise means some other poor slob gets hosed, oh well-that's life in the big city!

I am not saying it is right, only that it is a core component of human nature and it will never change. There is never going to be a "brand scope" (RJDC concoction)-or a national pilot seniority list, never, ever, ever.

(BTW, I was there when that Ford guy from Comair came and gave the RJDC song and dance-I heard "brand scope" about 483 times and "fiduciary" even more!) What a retard!!

Just keep in mind that in then real world, in real life, there is no chance of people ever acting too selflessly-at least not in large groups. Not gonna happen-quit being so idealistic!
