I finally got to view the page. Its a riot. This guy is very funny whehter he means to be or not.I loved the stories.

I hope Clown Pilot gets to take a look at it, I would love to see his comments about this guy.

The part were he "stopped" a terrorist attack was the best. He was just to chicken to stick around and see what happened.

B-J-J!

C'mon, B-J-J, that's just mean! Really obnoxious. You ought to erase that. From what the guys who know Paul are saying, it doesn't sound like he deserves comments like that.

Okay, I have finally seen the entire site...and I've got somethin' to say: all of you clowns that are making fun of this guy should be ashamed of yourselves!

Yes, it's funny. It's hysterical! Paul has basically taken all of his raw, uncensored musings and put them up for anyone to see. He's a dork. And if all of us had the stones to be as open as him, I think we'd find that most of us are dorks!

I don't follow sports either. It just bores me. I actually had a captain ask me once, "you don't watch football, you don't watch baseball...what are you, a communist?"

My wife and I own a gas grill for hardcore cooking...but don't underestimate the speed and simplicity of a Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine when you're in a hurry!

And I personally saved the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport from a potential Al-Quaeda strike. I'm the guy who, on September 14th pointed out to the security folks that any terrorist with a stolen SIDA badge could enter the airport via the train from South Employee Parking! They shut that train down the next day. (You know, if I had that one to do over again...)

No, I don't live with my parents...but I know some Delta furloughees who do. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do...even if it's not a culturally popular idea.

So get off Paul's back, everybody. Let he among you who is without dorkiness toss the first stone! And if you claim to be completely dorkiness free, then I'm callin' you a liar!

I submit that being a regular contributor to this very discussion forum pre-qualifies you as a part-time schmuck.

Nice post Typhoon.

I work with Paul. Have known him for 2 years now. I know about the site but dont have any comment on it. He is a good guy just a little young. Glad you guys got a laugh but he would give the shirt off his back. I know maybe I shouldnt be defending him but hey you look out for your friends.

Hope everyone is having a happy new year so far.

Rook,

I always knew you were a class act. The fact that you would stick up for a friend at a public level doesn't surprise me one bit.

I haven't seen the page in question but it still amazes me that a naive young man with a decent little home page is ridiculed in this country, but we make idols and heroes out of some worthless loser like Eminem.

Excellent point.

I was amazed!

This guy is an airline pilot ...and ... he's ...happy.

No bitchin' on his site from what I can see. (Are we sure he's really a pilot?) :D

More power to this guy. I'd fly with him any day.

...and yet he doesn't seem worried about random drug checks, hmmm.

Nice site, "seems" like a nice guy, though he still could be a pilot...:D

Having only seen parts of the site I must say from what I've seen you guys that jumped all over him are the schmucks. Look at the web address, its under COMICS! He's trying to be funny, if you think he is trying to be serious you have to be more gullable the Barny Fife. Get a live people!

Greetings! You've arrived at the Mark Drought Web site, a self-indulgent source of biased and mean-spirited commentary, as well as links to other, more-interesting sites.

You sure he's not talking about flightinfo.com?

Paul's going to take his website down for a couple of days to remove some of the more personal stuff...and a couple of friends said they didn't want their pictures on there because of the negative feedback they've been getting.

Great job, guys...probably the last unjaded guy in aviation, and he's having to sanitize his website because of us.

Really, if this is the dorkiest thing young Paul has done, he's alright by me!

Thank god, there wasn't an internet when I was young!

Amen! I was drum major of my high school band for two years. I wasn't just a band geek, I was the head band geek! (By the way, those band camp stories are all true. If you wanted to find the really frisky girls, forget cheerleaders. Head for the clarinet section!)

LOL! :D

Hey, I'll be the first to admit I'm a dork, all my best friends are dorks, etc.

You know what, I can think of a lot worse things to be called.

I haven't seen the site yet (bandwith warnings), but I'm sure the guy is perfectly nice based off what you guys are saying.

WhirlWind

What a dork! But in any case, he seems like the kind of guy who'd make the day go by so fast... It's refreshing to see the happy-go-lucky-dorky people like that still flying.

Well,blast-took it down before I could see it.Mebbe I'll start my own in the meantime, with fascinating tales of how I manage to keep my tie out of the brake dust on the gear when I bend down for a look,or keeping the schmootz from the underside of the flaps (ice, sand, calcium, etc.) off my coat.Or maybe the time I discovered the East Pole. It's near Myrtle Beach.Just keep the compass on the big "E" from here and son of a gun-Myrtle Beach.I plan on mounting an expedition to find the West Pole as soon as funding is in place.

:D Laughed my even-lovin' a$$ off!

Fair enough. Certainly a funny site created by a nice guy. Maybe some things on there that shouldn't have been printed, but all in all someone I would fly with, provided it wasn't at Freedom, and I got my own weather briefing and charts.
