Ricky,

Congrats on the job !!! Maybe you'll get to fly with my buddy, Ray McKenzie, on the -10...better hurry, though; he's older than a man and a dog.

Have him tell you about his East African Airways days...

Well, all I heard was some interesting aviation stories...wish I'd taken that job when it was offered. I think I still have the telegram from Mr. Muteshi...I think that was his name ??

Congrats...

Congrats big time!!!

I just hope for your sake that we were not the first people you thought to tell the good news.;)

Ricky,

Way to go my good friend! Well deserved!:D

Congrats, and just try not to cause anymore hull losses for Fedex...

Congrats Ricky!

You're in with a VERY good and solid outfit with GREAT folks. I'm sure you've counted you're blessings.

Good luck with training and congratulations! My partner on my freight run just notified me he want's to switch schedules so that he can get down to MEM for an interview with FedEx...he turned down their offer of a position in the training department a couple years ago, so I am surprised (and happy) they called him back.

FedEx gouge

Ricky,

Congratulations, I can't imagine how you must feel. I've got an interview comming up in Oct. and was wondering if you could post a little info about the process if you get the chance. I understand how busy it might be for you now. Anyways, enjoy yourself and we hope to hear from you soon.

Will

ILS,
I am totally happy flying the bus...I love it. I would like to fly the A380 (FedEx is getting those). Not only that, but after 9-11, my perspective changed. This industry has no guarantees in it in my opinion. I think FedEx or UPS are as "guaranteed" as you are going to get as far as job security. Job security is what is most important to me. Granted, they are not immune from corporate greed either but people will always send shipments even if they themselves don't fly.....know what I mean? I also have a friend at FedEx that loves it there. Also, boxes don't bit#$. My profile says the luckiest girl in the world because I found a wonderful man to share my life with.
