The crj705s are not going anywhere, cause the don't meet mainline ALPA's criteria of an rj certified with 76 seats. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 705 is a 900 with first class seating and 76 seats total. U tried to get those aircraft on the property against the agreement made with ALPA. ALPA saw thru U's scheme and said 700s or nuthin', which so far is what they have, nuthin'. Getting 700s are no problem as long as they are actually 700s. 705s are 900s with fewer seats.
According to Bombardier:
CRJ700 Series 701/705
The Bombardier CRJ700
Series 701 cabin provides comfortable four-abreast or dual class with 3 abreast business class seating for 64 to 70 passengers and the Series 705 cabin provides comfortable dual class with 3 abreast business class seating for 75 passengers. Relative to the Bombardier CRJ200 , the windows in the Bombardier CRJ700 Series have been raised four inches (10.16 cm) to add more natural lighting. By lowering the floor by one inch (2.5 cm) the Bombardier CRJ700 Series gives passengers more head and shoulder room than any other competitive aircraft on the market today
CRJ900
The basic aircraft has an 86-seat interior with two-by-two seating at 31-inch (78.7 cm) pitch and standard fore and aft lavatories. In addition, airlines will have a wide range of interior layout options available to them, including mixed seat-pitch and two-class interiors.
