saw today where world airways made a profit for the eighth consecutive quarter.does anyone know if they are hiring? it seems as though the military airlift work should be strong for at least another 4 years. seems to be a step above the companies that do the type of work they do.

Was in ATL the other day and saw an MD-11 with Delta colors and a WORLD airways sticker over where it used to say Delta.....

Delta stopped flying them intially right after the Gulf 2 War, thinking that passenger loads would be light that Summer, which was wrong. Then, they determined they had too many widebodies, and decided to park them. I have flown jumpseat on many of them and I liked the advanced displays, but a lot of the pilots did not like flying them, probably because they had soo few landings each month on them.

Yes, we just had interviews a couple of weeks ago. Keep checking the web site because when the pilots ads show up they don't stay up long. Word is we still need pilots to fly the two "new" freighters we're getting this spring.

That's ship 801. Nice airplane, as are the other two Delta birds we fly. Unfortuately it's a short term lease. Hence the lack of paint. Maybe we'll end up keeping it a bit longer.
