-junior guys(open flyers) bid 6 hard days off a month,6 soft days assigned retroactively-can be bought back by company-open flying is basically an 8 hour call back reserve while you sit at home or your cell phone.
-world is a charter airline-they don't do scheduled service-a real eye opener for some folks.
-depending on the position-sim training sessions have a tendency to fell like check rides-and should be prepared for as such
-the people you spend the most time with-the pilots- are probably the best folks I've ever worked with
-expect to be dicked around by crew scheduling
