it really depends as Anchorage is a big stopping place for much of Pacific. The majority is cargo although sometimes pax( mostly military charters). The md-11 does mostly Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Australia, ect... from west coast.. usually SEA, or LAX.. However if using a DC-10 will probably go through Anchorage as they dont have the range to go non-stop
 
So your saying that they take MD's to Australia from ANC non-stop? How far is that? 5000nm?
