Hey Kids,
Does anyone know of a website, or somewhere I can find out what numbers major airlines make public, with respect to their cost per seat mile?
Thanks...

You can find the cost per seat mile on each airlines SEC 10-K form. The best place to get the 10-K free is on Yahoo Finance, just by entering in the stock identifier for each airline.

Keep in mind, that when you look at numbers, there are always different ways to "interpret" numbers. You would think that CASM is CASM is CASM (cost per available seat mile). However, there is also a "stage length adjusted" CASM to consider. How else can you compare airlines with an average stage length of less than 750 miles (ie. Southwest or USAir) to airlines with average stage lengths of more than 1100 miles (JetBlue or United)? Sorry to confuse the issue. I believe the only two majors with short average stage lengths are Southwest and UsAir.

I'm not sure how the adjustment is calculated, perhaps someone else could jump in.
