You do not have an understanding of the winglet technology. It actually helps reduce wake turbulence, while increasing fuel efficiency. Too bad the things have made a beautiful airplane look, well, goofy.

The 777's wing was designed by computer, thus it is one of the most effiecient wings ever produced...winglets won't help it at all, so you will never see them on the 777.

Same for the A380, Airbus has finally upgraded their computers to Pentium 4's so they got it figured out now too. ;)
 
Scary that some of us don't know what causes wake turbulence. And you're a captain...
