Has anyone had any experience/suggestions installing WiFi? Estimated cost and good/bad places to have it done. Thanks in advance.

Was quoted about $80K to install on a 560XL, $2K/month subscription. Honestly I forget who but I'm sure that's pretty standard.

At NBAA there was a company that sold them for about $50k plus installation. Not the highest speed available but it was adequate unless you were downloading music or video. Not sure about the monthly fees,$2k sounds about right.

2k is for unlimited data, you don't need that much data in the airplane. The lower Gig plans work for 99.99% of the peps.

Gogo Biz (Aircell) equipment cost's around $60k depending upon what you already have in your plane. Install depends on who's doing it. Domestic only, we have had it for two months now and its been working very well. Get the unlimited data plan for $2k/month!!!!!!!!!! Only takes one time to go over your plan and you'll wish you had just bought the unlimited data.

Get the unlimited. Our CEO blew through the basic plan on one transcon...

We have Aircell, but I believe it was over $100k for installation and that was a while ago.

Agree with others- unlimited is the way to go.

UNLIMITED DATA!!!

We setup a Slingbox in our office and our boss/clients enjoy using it to steam Directv to the plane.

We have Aircell... I don't know if the price has gone down that much in the last 9 months, but when we had ours installed in April 2011, the ATG5000 router was almost 60k alone. Total bill was $112k including installation and the STC which was $10k from Duncan (only one who had it at the time) for a Hawker 800XP. Installation took one week, and we had it done by a company at KTMB. They did a great job.

If your a/c doesn't have an Aircell phone - it is also a good time to install/upgrade from an older model.

Also - the installation on our Hawker required almost half of the interior be removed, which was a bulk of the labor...if you want to do anything else while the interior is out (if applicable) it is a good opportunity.
