Anyone ever get Workforce Improvement Act (WIA) money from Florida for a type rating. Just wondering about the process.

Actually taught two guys that flew the panel on the 727 for Planet about 2 years ago down in Kissimmee that were using some fund from 9/11 that provided anyone in aviation 30 grand if there job was affected by 9/11 to go out and get more/any ratings. They both got Comm/MEL/IR and about 300 hours of twin time. Don't know if that's the same thing, but I'm still in contact with one of them and can ask how they went about it if you need it.
Adios
