From a former regional pilot, why do so many people that hate flying continue flying?

Ummm... they don't hate flying! They hate the inept, lazy, parasitic management that continuosly put the company in bad financial position, then blame the people who actually produce something. It gets a little old after awhile. The flying part is pure joy, the management part is pure something else. Please don't confuse hatred of evil with hatred of flying.

because they think that they are the most underpaid abused bunch, when really they dont know the meaning of haaaaard labor work, and nooooo pay! What about getting up at 4 in the morning and working for hours under the hot sun, or coooold rainy day and at the end of the day make 100 pesos (10 dollars) and get home and only have enough money for some tortillas, refried beans and scrambled eggs (same thing you ate all week). North Americans really dont know what it is to have it bad. We're all a bunch of spoiled, bit*ing, SUV driving, fast food eating idiots. We complain about our jobs, that yeah although it has alot of responsabilty it couldnt get any easier, especially airline (you show up and close the door). Anyone that flies for an airline, ANY airline and complains about how bad he has it, needs to get his teeth punched out, and then forced to get a hard labor job for minimum wage. We really dont know how good we have it compared to other people in our country and other countries.

The whole underpaid pesos rant only underscores the mismanagement that goes on. In the case of the pesos crowd, their government is so corrupt, and that is why they have it so bad. While we don't have it physically as bad, we still constantly feel the affects of the corrupt management. It just get's a little old after a while. Take the latest from Bedford. He is constantly proselytizing. Fair enough, where in the bible does it say that going back on your word is Chistian? Yet that is what he is doing. That gets old, and I don't need to get a no education job, or my teeth punched out, if I get upset about people like him and his constant immoral, unethical behaviour.

Why do so many who hate their marriages stay married? They do it for the kids. And they don't want to pay alimony/child support.

So regional pilots who hate to fly for the airlines do so for the kids and so they dont have to pay alimony/child support?

Maybe it's becuase pilots think they run/own the company but are surprsingly stunned when they get a pay cut.
