Why do majors keep paying Republic to do flying?

That's funny considering we are flying for much better pay rates and QOL than any other carrier with the same equipment. SKYW/ASA flies for 3 carriers. How many does RAH fly for - Delta, US Air, Continental, AA, United, and most recently brought Frontier and Midwest down their pathetic level. As far as I am concerned, RAH is the new Mesa, and I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

About that... look at APC lately? The 7 year old RAH contract pays more than yours for the same longevity on both 50 and 70 seat equipment (CA side). You have the same per diem. Your FO rates are 2-8 dollars better, which is a start. Your work rules are probably better since they have basically none, no J/M aside. How again does that translate into 'much better pay rates' than any other carrier with the same equipment?

But, hey, you 'feel' RAH is the new Mesa. Hope you don't run your cockpit based on those feelings....

Flown by a cockpit crew with a total cost under 100/hr...

I garuntee you there is not a cockpit crew flying a 190 at RAH today that has a total cost under $100/hr.

YOU are flying routes that once was MIDWEST pilots making 130-160,000/yr

YOUR COMPANY LAID those pilots off and painted your plane in midwest colors. That is fine. Fly your 90 seat jet for 40-70K. But if that is the most money you want in your life fine. Enjoy your 1,000 paycheck and your 2200 paycheck. I want my 11% retirement every two weeks, my 3000.00 and 6000.00 check for rest of my life. (hopefully it increases more.) Have fun paying that car note and home loan, and nothing left over. What is Republic's retirement?=JOKE Lets see Jetblue rates???
