Was an honest question, dick.

No need to call names.

US Air is not a cake walk now, but it will be better later. You may know that AWE will have more short term movement than DAL/CAL/SWA. Starting AWE e190 pay is similar to 6 year ASA FO pay + 10% 401k contribution... but its still another dice roll.

Hpilot worked on the West side for 2 years and now thinks he knows everything about aviation.

The east got screwed so now they are fighting like dogs to get this situation turned right side up again. And they SHOULD be fighting this fight!

Hopefully they will win the fight!

Not all US Airways pilots are paid the same. There is still a west and east contract. You're referring to the east.

Well, the easties will blame management, west pilots, and the courts. Fact is it's their own darn fault.

We couldn't agree to a seniority list so it went to arbitration. east refuses to accept the list so is stalling negotiations by demanding DOH(staples 80% west pilots below east). We could all be Delta plus 1-2%, but these grade A morons like their low pay. You have to remember these guys fought management in bankruptcy court and ended up with pay put in place by the court less that what management wanted. Gee couldn't see that one coming... Basically the east could screw up a winning lottery ticket, hence why they're the lowest pay in the industry and unfortunately will be so for a long time.:bawling:

It's very simple really. It's called "Divide and Conquer."

Parker is only playing the hand that the pilots are giving him. I'm not defending the man, but that is the system we work under. Management almost always has the upper hand.

Now, I will say this, if Parker really wanted to put an end to the debacle, he probably could. But the profits for him and his shareholders are simply too sweet to get off this gravy train.

Exactly. We are profitable right now for the same reason AWA was 6 years ago. We really are AWA!

And its just a matter of time before the maintenance (or lack there of) catches up to us and we get grounded just like AWA

Talking about MX

Some airlines have airplanes blowing holes in flight but the FAA allows them to continue flying.

How is that so?

Because the said airline followed FAA and Boeing inspections to the letter. Mud on their face not SWA's. Story disappeared after that revelation, didn't it? But hey, you knew that didn't you Keith Olbermann.
