Hey, Merry Christmas everyone. After reading some of the posts today, it seems that there's a good amount of people working over the holidays.

If you've got to work, tell us what you are doing and where you are today.

In MSP. Have to operate to Cancun Mexico tonight. 1800L Departure.

Worked the day... where on earth was everyone flying today ??? Holy S*** ... we were busy... especially the oceanic ops, we were cranking from about 8 am till when I left @ 2:30 ... it was gonna stay busy for a few hours after I left.

I'll be pimpin' the videos...

funny when you're in my position, you'd give anything to be flying today instead of working for a living ;)

Cuz you know, if I'm not going to be able to see my family anyway I'd rather say it's because of flying.

...flew back home from PBI via TLH after a 3 day trip. Lots of people going places today. Got home and the fridge is empty. Doh! Looks like this day is going to end with mac&cheez. Tomorrow's the real rush. I'm flying 8+ hours making two trips to Florida to get people. Sure beats driving, I guess!

Last guy at 2 PM yesterday, a guy's checkride at 8 AM tomorrow cancelled due to the plane in maintenance, so that will be at least 2 days off from revenue-enhancement activities.

I've been spending most of the day working on a new training course for FAA acceptance. When the course is done, I have end-of-the-year accounting, invoicing, 1099s, and tax forms to complete. Oh joy.

Then there are some items to list on Ebay, trading old technology for new. . . Motion M1300 Tablet PC anyone?

Fly SAFE!

I worked this morning til around 2pm.

I helped about a thousand people get to their families today. That felt nice.

Hahahaha...if you want to see me hauling a package on a holiday...you're going to have to get in line! :D

worked til 0330Z last night...it's what you gotta do if you want to make it in this industry...especially when you are at the bottom, that's where i'm at

Shanghai, China

Got into Shanghai about 28 hours ago. I'm here until the 29th. I had a very nice buffet dinner with a great crew and then puked my guts out about six hours later.

The seafood pasta is Suspect Numero Uno.

But other than that it's been great!

Hey Mar,

Wow.. Shanghai? Congrats on the upgrade/new job, last I knew, you were flying the '6 out of Alaska.

I hope you're feeling better, it sucks being sick on Christmas, but at least it happened on the ground instead of in the air.

Now if you can only, "punch a few grumpies"' I'm sure you'll feel just fine!:)

I get to spend New Years Eve over the North Atlantic. If I time it right I should hit 50W at midnight. On the 2nd I'll be in HTDA.

I was in the U.S. for Christmas though.

Well, its delayed but I was in the tower xmas eve and xmas. vv001 with 1/4sm vis and an rvr of 0800 for most the morning on xmas. Thank god for laptops and DVD players.

Diverted christmas eve for an overtemp, stuck in a hotel in the rain christmas, still in the hotel. Christmas dinner at Dennys. With very unhappy, apparently angry, waitresses. And undercover cops. And bail enforcement agents. And screaming kids with parents who apparently forgot christmas.

It was that, or potato chips at the gas station, the only other open place, across the street. That was desert.

I did a CLE turn and the passengers sure were grumpy, and we weren't even late! The crew, however, was one of the best I've had the opportunity to fly with and that made it worth it to be working on Christmas day.

I'd also like to say thanks to the Trans States crew who flew me home last night, along with about 5 other pilots. We appreciate you giving us a ride home to our families, even if it was only for the last few hours of the day.

Worked the last four days, and have a 0600 shift tomorrow, but yesterday folks brought in about 7 bazillion calories worth of goodies. Pies, cookies, chips, queso, ham, more cookies, salads, doughnuts, did I mention cookies? :D
