I was there and saw it first thing monday morning and when they were lifting it out that night. They pushed it into the mud and then broke two, not one, two tow bars trying to pull it out and screwed up the nose gear. They had a crane out there lifting it last night.

You should have your eyes checked before you fly again. There was no crane. They used air bags. If you want to tell a story get it straight. Yea, you were there?

I was there flying to OKC at about 700pm, and they did have a crane out there, we were at gate 16 and it was behind gate 1 and they did have a small crane out there, but I couldnt see if they were using it for lifting the plane or other equipment. So I cant see 1000 ft in the dark and pick out every detail, im human.

Often when air bags are used, a crane is used to lift the aircraft off the ground slightly to get the airbags underneath.

In this situation, what did they use to get the airbags under the airplane?

Why on this earth he/she would lie about the crane? Saw it and posted it. So, why not now start debating his/her pilot skills? Now that's they have proven (in your expert opinion) that they can't see, why not question their knowledge and skills? It would make you feel very good. Believe me...that feeling you many have...while eating your lunch...that you're better than this pilot who saw a crane that was never there...you have no idea how much it would help your ego.

Also, you could've shown a bit of class by apologizing about your baseless opinion...but...well, you can't...because that would go against your arrogance...wouldn't it.

Hey Bunny boy, ask him why he lied about the crane. No crane was used. Why don't you ask the original poster why he lied about an airplane being in a ditch. The right gear went into the dirt, nothing more. I don't think dirt would qualify as a ditch, do you?

I'm not kidding. But I wasn't there, I was just saying that sometimes cranes are used. Obviously I must be an idiot because airbags never require the use of cranes. I should have known better then to doubt your aviation knowledge.

Oh so AA Mx did this? It was a Skywest bird painted in UA colors and all the trucks and equipment I saw around it were yellow and said City of San Antonio Airport Authority, so I do not think AA or UA or Skywest MX had anything to do with moving this disabled aircraft. Also, no pics as I did not have my camera, but I would have been shooting some pics had I had it.

OK, if they used them I stand corrected, but all the trucks I saw out there were city of SAT airport authority trucks, I did not see any AA mx teams, but like I said earlier, in the morning, nothing but cones around the plane and in the evening when they were getting ready to move it, I was at the opposite end of the field and had a 15 second taxi to runway 3.
