Who is in need of pilots the most at RAH. Chautauqua, Shuttle, or Republic. I am thinking of applying and am curious where they would place me if hired. Thanks

Republic is full unless Airways gives us more planes. I don't know if Shuttle has anymore deliveries this year or not, there hasn't been any recent bids. So I would guess CHQ if the deal goes through with Cont. Otherwise attrition counld place you anywhere assuming you have the numbers for the 170.

Uhh no. RW is understaffed until AUG. We got 6 A/C in June and only have crews for 2.

Might be a silly question, but if you get hired, do you fly for all of their airlines, or just one?

Just one.
I believe Shuttle has 4 more airplanes coming for Delta. To bring the 14 up to the originally planned 18 total. Not positive though.

Gotcha. so if I wanted to fly for Shuttle and be based in ORD, it would be a crapshoot, huh?

I keep hearing all the MDA guys got recalled and RW is cancelling a ton of flights due to lack of crews and having CHQ pick up the slack.

My buddy wanted to interview with them but doesn't meet ATP standards yet(I think he's 200hrs short). If he interviews and is hired would he be placed in a pool on the 145? I thought they weren't hiring on the 145 anymore?

they just recently raised the minimums to 1500tt and 300me for both airframes...i dont know the rhyme or reason behind, they did it pretty quickly with no heads up to anyone...just kinda happened overnight...and they are stressing no exceptions on those numbers

US Airways has only had one round of recalls. None are currently scheduled. The August bid was a reduction of 27 positions. IIRC.

3 or 5 of the J4J guys at Rep took recall back in April/May, also 1 that I'm sure of and maybe 1 more has left for FDX. There are quite a few senior APL (furloughed) J4J Capts here that should get recall if there is another recall at the end of the summer. There are only 10 or 15 J4J guys here now as FO's and as the senior APL guys leave to go back (if more recalls) the remaining J4J fo's will backfill the capt slots. I suspect that by fall or early winter that all the J4J guys at REP will be capts, if there are recalls, but anything can happen.

JMO but I don't think they will be able to staff all 28 170's until AUG. They have been behind since I've been here which is about 6 months.

If I not mistaken there should be another bid out shortly for the initial 190 check airman and hopefully that will include recalls for the AB and Boeing.
